Hi Everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend! It was a 3-day weekend for a lot of us, but I'm still on my two weeks recovery from surgery. I'm doing really well! Thank you all for the well wishes!
I made a couple cards this month to send to friends, just to say hello. I had recently got a new cover die from The Stamp Market that covers the whole front of an A2 card. After cutting it out and trying to think of a way to add something else to it, I thought it would be neat to use an embossing folder underneath the cover die, peaking through.
I got out a Stampin'Up! embossing folder I'd had for awhile, particularly to use on a wedding card, that I'd not used yet. After I made my card, I was so happy with how it turned out. I made a bunch!
Here is my card. While I didn't use my MISTI for stamping on the front, I used it to help line up the leaf and the frame perfectly on the card front and then I used it to stamp my inside sentiment.

Your challenge this month is to create a background using two textures/techniques. Mine were an embossing folder and cover plate die. The possibilities are endless. I loved the subtle leaves behind the cover die. It added so much interest!
Good luck! December will be here before you know it! I was able to get out of the house today with my mom and sister. I actually bought two gifts for Christmas! They were playing Christmas music everywhere! I'm having a Friendsgiving this year and it was hard to find any Thanksgiving stuff....it has all turned to Christmas.
I hope you enjoy this challenge!
Much Love!

Greet strangers today, maybe you will make a new friend.
For me I don't plan to leave the house but if I do I will make a point of greeting people.
This morning I remembered that I had not looked for this challenge so here I am. Only a few days late. I would like to be in the stamp room today and this looks like something I can do.

There has been thoughts to this challenge since it was posted. I am still thinking and have my daughter thinking on this. She was gifted her MISTI with a winning from this challenge, so between the two of us, hopefully we will come up with something soon.

November and December are such busy months. Thank you to all who participate and hello to those who come to visit, but just don't have the time to join in. Anyone have any Thanksgiving plans they're super excited about? I will get to see my daughters and son, whom I don't get to see much. Plus, food. Always the food.
Keep warm
Keep stamping
Keep smiling

I would LOVE to have plans for the holidays, unfortunately, I am married to an unsocial man and neither of us has family anywhere near. So, for me, all the big holidays are "Pat cooks a big holiday meal, John eats happily". He doesn't celebrate. When I was single, I used to bum invites to friends who had big family- I loved celebrating with a bunch of people.
Took me out of my comfort zone. Usually I would only use an embossing folder and call it good for added texture. It was a nice change, though. Thanks for a great challenge.

It definitely been a busy month heading into the holidays and the closing of another Year !! So much so I only now have found my way into checking this months challenge and realized I do have a entry this month that is fitting
For this fun challenge and more swirling around in my minds eye lol so hope I can manage to overcome my maddening migraines and get them down on paper.
If grocery shopping counts, my husband has been out. I am behaving and am not shopping, either in person, or online. Too many sales. Now, if I were a good Misti user, I would be shopping on My Sweet Petunia.

This year we had no shopping plans. Both my husband and i have made purchases throughout the year when we wanted something (its a wonderful place to be in life with no dependent children in the home) and I had great fun recently purchasing from MSP.
The other day I was making a card which he photographed for me and he asked...Did you use this MISTI on this card?
I think he enjoys seeing me use my tools just as much as he enjoys using his own tools in his wood shop!
We have had much snow this past week...but the skies are to be sunny next week!

Congratulations to ContraPat's Two Hearts for Christmas card! You have won the November challenge! I was a little worried that with everyone so busy, there wouldn't be very many entries, but you guys never disappoint. Thank you so much for checking in monthly to look at the new challenge and for playing along.
I hope you all are having a good weekend! My daughter got proposed to on Thanksgiving Day, so I've had a lot to be thankful for this month!
December is upon us.….and that means another challenge! See you tomorrow evening! I'm going Christmas Shopping with my mom after my post surgical doctor appointment. My surgery recovery was really great. I'm loving my new life.
Good night and I hope to see you next month!

Woohoo! What a good way to wind up the Thanksgiving weekend! I see a Cut Align in my near future. Thank you so much for running this monthly challenge. I really got into this month's.
Wow! Yesterday, DH was saying it was only December 1st, and we got the Christmas tree up, he {finally} put up my big old fashioned Christmas lights outside (it's been several years since he put those up), and then I got the message that I won the Misti challenge for November. I'm on a roll!
OK, that was QUICK! Got my prize loaded to my account, shopped, and order placed! What an excellent time to win- the sale for Black Friday is still on!!!
Now to wait {impatiently} for the package to arrive. That's the hard part.
Congrats...contrapat...I too enjoy this challenge. Doesn't matter win or not, I just enjoy the style of most of the challenges and that there is usually a month to create...
I have a card to make for Dec. 7th and I hope I can incorporate the December challenge.
MISTI Monday was a month early as I saw that the new month is called DIEcember...
