WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT590 "Let's send him a note"
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
Challenge:Let's send him a note, that's my challenge for you this week, use whatever you like, to send Andrew a thank you for your kindness note. Just if you want some cookies use a bit of green on your card, because green is the color of hope.
Destination Station: The Teapotters are all about sharing kindness so when we read this story we couldn’t help but want to reach out to our recipient and celebrate his random act of kindness.
Andrew Levy is a real estate agent in Palm Beach Gardens, FL but the majority of his business is conducted in the Jupiter area. He says he quickly fell in love with the community when he moved to South Florida five years ago. Besides the business, Andew has no obvious connection to the Jupiter area.
When Andrew learned that more than 400 kids in the Jupiter area did not have access to a proper lunch in their school cafeterias, he felt he had to take action. Andrew thought of his own childhood and how difficult it would have been to go to school hungry, so he took it upon himself to buy off the outstanding school lunch debt for all nine Jupiter area schools. $944.34 was a small price to pay to make a big difference in a life of a child.
Levy said he had no agenda, he’s got no children in the district and no personal connection to the schools but he knew he could make a difference, so he just made it happen. “Food is something that you shouldn’t have to think about. Children shouldn’t have to learn hungry,” he said. Going forward, he is going raise money every quarter so the lunch debt never accumulates. I look forward to making a card for Andrew sometime later today.
It’s a snow day here so no school. And my hubby is in the hospital. So far my son is behaving well (autism) My hubby could use some prayers. This afternoon he’ll be having a surgical procedure on his intestine and he is very anxious.
Thanks!
Many hug!
Jen

Great challenge! I will be super busy all this week & probably won't have time to make a card , but I'm sure I have an appropriate one in my stash that I can send.
Here's mine! I thought about sending just a thank you card but then I thought a holiday card would be nice! Both thanking Mr. Levy and wishing him a happy holiday!

I had my 8th grade Religious Ed students make cards tonight for Andrew, and what a great role model he is. I taught the kids that in prayer, we are not only asking for smething, eg healing, etc...that we should also pray for Thanksgiving! Prayers answered for all of those school kids in Florida!!!

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up.
We were to send a thank you style card to Andrew for his random act of kindness. As I'm quite late to the party, mine will to to my friend who is always helpful, kind, and makes my life easier whenever she can!
