Challenge Title: Tone on Tone Stamping Hostess: annsforte3 aka Ann Keyword: FF19annsforte3 Date: Monday,November 11, 2019
Welcome to Falliday Fest 2019!! So glad you are joining us!
My challenge has to do with tone or the lightness or darkness of something, namely ink!! For my challenge you will use only one color to make a tone on tone area on your card. You may do an entire background in this technique, die cut a shape from it, or mask a portion of your card!
So,take one color ink and add that color to your cardstock, brushing it on or dabbing it onto the card stock. Now find your favorite stamp or stencil and stamp over that color using the same color. You may have to stamp more than once to get a darker tone.
This technique creates a dreamy watercolor like background! Hope you will give it a try!
Please see the wonderful samples in the gallery for inspiration! Thank you to all my sample makers, I sure do appreciate your kindness!

I found it quite interesting to see what variation you could get from one ink pad when you just applied more. Distress Shaded Lilac will never be quite the same!

Mahalos Fairy Much Sis Ann !! I love this fun technique I've got another one coming and will use this technique a lot in my future !! Do simple and so amazingly gorgeous results!!
Your challenge is just what I needed, Ann, to enter this card in the CAS and FS Challenges. Thanks so much! I know the BG looks grey, but I really did used a two shades of blue.
Thanks Ann for the fun challenge. I used a layout technique I rarely do, but love and pulled out my Wink of Stella which I also rarely use and love. The blue background made my frog want to be included...so I listened and complied.
Thank you, Ann, for a most fun challenge! Here's my card: I Believe

I got way behind, so looked for a relatively easy one to
catch up a bit. I really enjoyed doing this technique. It reminded me a bit of the one doing simple stamping with VersaMark on colored cardstock. Of course I had to make it more complicated by coloring a laser cut, but that seems to be where my had is lately. Tone and flowers by Vannie - at Splitcoaststampers
Wahoo- I had a few minutes to create tonight! I had an idea in my head for this challenge using this image. I like it enough to post, and will try using this stamp a couple more times for fun!
I just love that this young man is in High School and creating stamps : )
