DESCRIPTION:
The mission of Angel Flight Soars includes routine treatment flights, compassionate care, and other medical related flights as referred by healthcare providers. Their philosophy is that “the cost of travel should never stand in the way of people receiving medical care”. In the initial years they would coordinate a few hundred missions annually. Since 2000 Angel Flight Soars has increased their annual number of missions by 1,250%! In 2018 they coordinated 3371 missions serving patients from 27 different states and 310 different medical facilities. That equals 9 flights per day 7 days a week! They also assisted with 9/11, and hurricane related needs after hurricanes Rita, Katrina, Harvey, Irma, and Maria. Website: www.AngelFlightSoars.org

Please include envelopes. No religious themes please, however cards an include angel wings and halos.
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, let's help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not.
This months challenge is to be inspired by AIRPLANES – of course anything sky related would be included.

I know there are people here who don't post at all but still participate...and those who post...I'd love to see who all is here and also get some basic info about you. Hello! We try to send cards within the month of the mission...but let's face it - sometimes life happens and we send them late and that's ok. Plus most of our causes are so appreciative of cards they will gladly accept cards anytime
Finally got to the post office today, boy was it crowded. Probably because it was closed yesterday! Sent off my cards and have the tracking number if needed.

I would like to send some cards. What is the deadline?
The end of each month is suggested when the organization is featured as the card for a cause for the month. The organization typically does not care if it is a few days into the next month - in other words, they aren't going to reject your cards if they are late.
I am a little late getting started this month, and am not sure who the cards will be given to. Are they for the patients, volunteers or donors, etc,? I assume if they are for the patients, children's cards would be needed too. Thanks for the insight!
Thirty cards mailed today. They are fairly simple - but it was a crazy busy month at work.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I've been sort of out of pocket these last few weeks. Our son moved in with us and it has had it's challenges and adjustments....as you can imagine. I'm so glad you have continued to bless our November cause in record numbers as always!!! I'll have the December cause up either later this evening or tomorrow sometime. Plus I'll update the upcoming list...and hopefully have time to do a post that shows counts (at least those I have received)...I think you'll all be shocked at what this little group on SCS does! I sure am!!! I hope all those here in the US have had a blessed Thanksgiving!!! And that you're not laying around in a turkey coma somewhere...LOL!!! ;):lolo:
