Today while walking barefoot in my bedroom, along the only “pathway” to get from one side of the room to the other, I felt something odd under my foot. When I picked it up it was a TINY clear stamp. A leaf image less than ½ inch in size. I had no idea what set it could go to as I have not been working on anything but mixed media Halloween pieces for the last 2 months.
After looking at it a little longer, and cleaning it off with a baby wipe I thought maybe it went to a wreath builder set. It did.
This is all quite amazing as I have not had my wreath builder sets out since last December! And then I used the Christmas one but this tiny leaf went to the original, non-seasonal set. I keep all the wreath builder sets together in a plastic case that closes tightly, like a case that would hold a VCR tape. I have not removed this case from its shelf in the cabinet since December.
WHAT ARE THE ODDS???
I rarely go barefoot due to foot pain, but this morning I did. I have vacuumed the spot where I stepped on it numerous times, my husband, my son and myself walked this area THOUSANDS of times since last December. Plus there is our dog, who, much like a toddler or a billy goat tends to try and eat whatever she finds on the floor!
I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT WAS MISSING!!
I knew that everyone here would truly understand how remarkable this is, so I decided to share.
Lost and found works the other way too. I have a handful of teeny tiny stamps stuck to a sheet of "plastic" that I just don't know where they belong. Last night I was determined to figure out what set they all came from and return them where they belonged. So the sailboat flag is back with the sailboat, the 3rd layer of leaves stamp is in its set, and I know where all the tiny hearts and stars came from. That's accomplishment for me!
Glad you found something you didn’t know was missing . Last week I saw something on the carpet under my craft desk. It looked like a caterpillar so I didn’t want to touch it and called my husband into my craft room to dispose of it. I was surprised to find that it was a small clear sentiment stamp (made by) that I didn’t know was missing. Sometimes I think the stamps just get stuck to a sleeve or top and get carried to another room. However your stamp must have had a long route to your bedroom. I went shopping a couple of weeks ago with a “I voted” sticker on the back of my top.

Bravo on finding the homes for all your tiny stamps. Especially the hearts and stars! I am amazed how many clear sets I have that seem to toss in a tiny heart or two “just because”. Same with stars. While adorable, if more than one became separated from it’s home set, it would take time to figure out exactly where they belonged! I am grateful my suddenly found tiny stamp was a leaf as that helped narrow down where it might belong.
