October Scrappin and Chatter - sbc19oct
Scrappin' Challenge 2019 Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2019 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc19oct"

Happy October everyone and happy scrapping. I’m still in spring clean mode so will have to think about scrap goals next week. It’s taking us some time to just get the garage sorted lol. Enjoy

My Sept scrapping was pushed aside and replaced by sewing, so I only completed 9 of my goal of 15.
YTD = 132
Oct goal = 15

I finished 9 for September, but missed my goal.
Will set Oct goal at 15 again, maybe I can soar this month.

It's October ...
For the first time ever ... I think my Scrapgoal for the month is going to be 3. I have all 3 laid out on my desk as they're for the Oct Challenges. I'll be posting those Sunday, Oct 6. I just don't think I'll get any others done ...
I have "15 Sleeps" until I head out for France .... SO EXCITED!

Whoohoo Lela...which part of France? Have you been before? Take lots of photos.
Happy day everyone. No craft for me this week...boo...too busy decluttering. Hopefully on Saturday I may find some time for craft.
Have fun everyone

October sounds like a busy month for many. How fun going to France Lela! That is better than scrapping any day!!! Busy making the memories to scrap!
I have more pages to post but first I have cleaning to get done.
Not like what you are dong Jayne, that will come soon enough when we move, but for now a have to tame a little dust and throw laundry in machines.
Hope you get a bit of scrapping worked into your days later in the month Jayne!
Tanya, a good start toward your goal for the rest of the year.
Amy, way to go with your layouts in September!
That is one thing I LOVE about setting goals for the year, there is no pressure or competition on meeting the goal which makes it fun to see if I can get it done but if not...well there is always next month.
I have been keeping the numbers of what I scrapped in my signature since the year my mom died. I'm not sure why other than I think of her every time I see it. She was a very creative and talented with a find love of crafting. I got much of my desire, knowledge, and love of crafting from her.

Got my first layout done for the month, but I probably won't get any more done this weekend since we're headed out of town for a few days. I also posted the Scrapbook Variety Challenge for October. Please come check it out and play along!

I got my 12 done in September and I am going to have to do some research to get a good YTD number. I am going to shoot for 25 in October since I have a crop retreat and lots of fun trips/events to scrap. Just did one this morning.
Lela - have fun in France!!!
Everyone is doing so good on scrappin' and I love all the pages we are creating! So glad I found you all!!!

How fun you won the trip, Lela, and based on merit at that! So cool!
Here is a page I did today using the FS challenge as my inspiration. Another hysterical marker (that's what I call the fun ones).

This weekend I was unexpectedly productive. I decided to start my inlaws Christmas calendar and selected pictures for several months and got four pages completed!
January
April
June
December
Then, I finally put together something from last November. Some years we've recognized what we're thankful for, by writing on a die cut leaf and sticking it to the front door. Last year I decided to keep those leaves for scrapbook pages! I made pages for each book, altho I only uploaded one. They're the same, other than the individual leaves and what's on them.
Thanks!
That put me to 7 pages done already. And two are very close, I just have to print another journaling box.

Hi ladies, I had a pretty good month last month. I did fall short of my goal. I got 32 pages done in September. Notwithstanding the fact that I didn't reach my goal, my husband surprised me with some new furniture for my scrapbook room so I spent the second half of the month repainting and setting up a bright new happy space for myself. I'm loving it, but still organizing all the little bits and bobs that are left after such a large overhaul. You know, the scraps of ribbons, photos you don't know where to put, memorabilia etc. It's the little things that are dragging this out for me. It's a happy problem. So for October I'm going to set the goal of 15 pages. I still have Halloween costumes to finish. This make my YTD: 314. I'll try to post some of my last month's pages soon.

Sharon, I posted a Variety Challenge and Joyce Ann (AnniePanda) posted an Inspiration Challenge, but I haven't seen Lela's challenges posted yet. I know she's been travelling and is due to leave soon for France so maybe she ran out of time.

Wow that is awesome. Congratulations. It's a very popular spot for celebrities and look out for the fast and shiny sports cars. Enjoy it all and make sure you try frogs legs LOL.
Keep safe.

Happy Wednesday everyone...we are still doing jobs this end and it's also school holidays so seeing more of the poppets..yay. I haven't created for a couple of weeks and not had the energy. My BP is up and I'm having mild headaches so monitoring that...all going in the right direction.
I will check out all of your creations once I get more time. Enjoy everyone and Hugs
