September Scrappin and Chatter - sbc19sep
Scrappin' Challenge 2019 Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2019 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc19sep"

I am going to go with 12 for September for my goal. I didn't do a yearly goal since I just started scrapbooking again after a long scrapcation. I think I will set my goal at 100. I THINK I have done 51.

Thanks Scrappy Sisters! ... I had lots of MOJO going Jan - March and with winter weather it was easy to stay in and scrap. Then we were on "travel freeze" for work March-May (1st time ever) so that meant I was home alot more.
I think there are several things that contributed to good MOJO, I hope to get that back soon

Hey lady! Scrapcation. I took a year scrapcation. It was refreshing. Nothing like DTGD to get me going again.

I'm up to 12 pages this year, I have several supplies sitting out to do more AND I started selecting pictures for the calendars I do for Christmas! So I think I might actually reach my goal of 50 for the year...!
Also, since things don't go the way we plan, ever, and i don't have a craft room yet, my husband put cabinets on one wall in our bedroom so I can organize my current business supplies (SU! Demo), and also have it shut away when I'm not working. ;) But there's extra room so I'm going to organize some of my retired scrapbooking supplies like alllll my alphabet stamps, to help make it that much easier to scrap!
If I could just focus on one thing, haha. I have project-ADD. Start one thing, move to another.

Hi ladies, I'm so sorry I didn't check in all summer. I did keep track of all the pages I made over the summer. Is it too late to jump back in?
I was at YTD 168 at the end of April
May I did 27 pages
June I did 21 pages
July I did 35 pages
August I did 31 pages.
That's 114 pages over the last four months. That puts my YTD at 282.
I'm going to aim high for September, as October is a crazy month at my house with four birthdays and Halloween costumes to make, so I need to compensate. September's goal will be 45 pages.

In my recent cleaning up and organizing of my scrapbook supplies and photos that need done, I found a short stack of completed pages that just needed some photos. That means I got four pages done today, including journaling, in 30 minutes! I was feeling extremely excited about that! That also means pretty much everything shown is lonnng retired, but all the pictures came from 2018.

I am watching for the challenges to go up! I have been trying to get my space organized, since the mess during DTGD. I also have been trying to purge a few things.
Ok is this stupid or what?
I look at something that I haven’t used in years, and I mean years, and I still can’t part with it! I am a true hoarder! Things would be so much easier and enjoyable in my space if I could part with “Stuff”! I could find items easier; I would have more creating space!
It is a disease!

Yes, Sharon, I believe a lot of us crafters have a bit of the "What if" syndrome!

This thought helped me.
When I die, someone is going through my stuff. Will they find? Oh, this is so pretty! This is so Melissa! OR OMG why does she have this? What was she thinking.
It helped me find things I really truly liked. I found I was using things just to use them and "saving" the things I really liked.
Um, what?
I purged till I loved all the things in my room and it all fit in my room, in my space and on one shelf in the hall closet.
That said, I realize what we like is not what someone else likes. But if what we keep doesn't reflect who we are...why are we keeping it?

Sometimes the space is more valuable than the cost to replace an item that falls in the "what if" category.
In the past, I've let things go - things that have come back - Stickles comes to mind. Darn! Um, no. Things get old. They don't keep forever. Newer and better versions come into play. So I use them or lose them.
It's a process. Still a process for me.

Hi everyone..I will check the challenges out. I scrapped with Melissa last night. Wow wait until you see what she’s made...she is my sample maker for a challenge I’m doing and she did scrap pages...absolutely awesome. I won’t let her post them yet.lol. I made a tag and stuffed it up but I recovered it and have photos laid out for scrapping later. I seem to take twice as long as Melissa to make something...funny that lol. I’m in this month. You ladies rock. Hugs
