Scrappin' Challenge 2019Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2019 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc19aug"

My current YTD is 108

Hello, my fellow scrappers. I finished 13 layouts in July, so that puts me at 75 YTD, which means I surpassed my yearly goal of 70! Gonna see if I can make it to 100 this year. Please put me down for 10 again this month, Lela. Looking forward to this month's "It's All in the Numbers" challenges, and I may scrape together enough inspiration to do a Variety challenge.
I have been finding sketch on Pintrest to use when making scrap kits...two of them are Cheryl's!! So fun!! I will give credit when I get the pages done. With your name on the sketch Cheryl I will remember where it came from!!!
Well, hello ladies! I think I've finally got my laptop set up the way I need it so I can comfortably do digi pages, so I'm going to join this month and start conservatively with a goal of 5 pages. Not sure how many challenges I'll tackle, but I do have some photos I want to get working on! Here's my first, a one-photo page for VSBN19AugA.
Just a quick hi everyone as I am getting dirty this week LOL. Melissa has been scrapping - she did 3 pages yesterday...whoohoo. I am making cards but intend to be back to my scrapping after that. I will be over cards for a while LOL.
Have fun.
Happy Wednesday

Great idea Joyce I did look up the sketch and added it to the Keywords. Now that I know where to find the sketches I will have to go back and see what else I can find.
Cheryl has lots of great sketches to choose from.
Here is one I did tonight from a process video Nicole Jones 911 on YouTube.

Glad you gals are still enjoying my sketches. I looked back and realized I have been creating them since February 2010, so almost 10 years. It was fun to do them for SCS for a while, too, but I think I work better when I don't have a monthly deadline and no one is expecting me to create to order, KWIM? That said, I still try to design a sketch for my blog most months, so you can always check that out if you run out of inspiration from my sketches on here!
Cheryl, sketches are just as relevant today even when designed years before. You can always put your own spin on a layout with todays papers and ephemera.
I often get stumped with starting a design using multiple photos.
Hello again! One of my many projects this summer was to reorganize scrapbook pages for my kids, since i don't scrapbook chronologically anymore. ;) I finished that yesterday which of course put me in the mood to scrap some more! (and yes, that means I'll have to reorganize it another time, over and over, haha). I hopped on here last night to see if there might have been a recent VSBN...? and I found there were three "recently"! So I printed off a list of the challenges and pulled out my photo boxes and got this page done I have had ideas for for YEARS. The train stamp had gone to live at my parents house since my mom has a craft room and a lot more space, but I finally remembered to bring it home, and this page is finally done! I just barely uploaded it but if I don't link it now I may not make it back... ;) I'm hoping to get a lot more of these challenges done tho. I certainly have enough photos printed!
PLUS, I started to panic..... When my brothers graduated high school, my mom and I got their scrapbooks done of their whole lives up to that point. Obviously that was easier, and we've discussed this before, because back then we had rolls of film that had to be shared thru the family, haha. That is not even close to the case anymore. But my son is starting his senior year next week (don't mind me...totally freaking out...!) and I haven't done anything for him since 2015, and it's sporadic at best after he turned 3 and we bought a digital camera, ha. I have a TON of catching up to do this year! HERE'S HOPING!!!!!!

Tanya, I feel your pain! My son is a senior this year and I want to at least get his school album done before he graduates. I'm only at 4th grade, so I have a lot of years to make up. . . Good luck with doing your son's life album, though. That sounds like a lot of work!
That's what I was thinking too, Cheryl...I don't even have all of any one thing done, all the school pictures, or all the birthday parties or for goodness sake! SO MUCH I want to do, haha..... always so much I want to do!!

Hello, everyone! Maybe, I can scrap, now that DTGD is over. I finished all 39 challenges!
Now, to clean my room! Everything is out. Unlike some, I cannot be in card mode and scrap mode at the same time! Scrapping takes mor room, have to have pages laying out. During card mode, I put all my photos, and all my pages away, and all my 12x12 paper away. Maybe I am just messier than most! I know I have way too much stash!
Anyway, the plan today, is clean, sort stuff back into the proper drawers, etc. then next week , I can start Lela’s and Cheryl’s Challenges.
I couldn't get it linked to any scrapbook keywords because I did over 11 DTGD challenges on it - lol.
I am doing a 6x8 scrapbook for my oldest daughter's birthday - she turns 29 and I thought I would capture some fun moments from her 29 years. I am doing that instead of a card. I am having so much fun! Hugz

I had to laugh when reading how behind everyone is on scrapping... these are layouts I did for my youngest sons wedding album that I am giving them in October for their 20th anniversary!!
