Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE: Our recipient today is recovering from surgery and what better way to relax and recuperate than curled up with a good book? Let’s see some book/reading themed cards today. And extra cookies for anyone who can incorporate any of our recipient’s other interests in their book themed card.
DESTINATION STATION: We’ll be sending caring, encouraging thought to Missouri this week. SCS NerdyBeth has requested a tea party for her friend, Stephanie, who is undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. She just had surgery last week, so some well wishes might just be what the doctor ordered. Stephanie loves to scrapbook and make an occasional card, crochet, read, and eat ice cream. She is a homemaker and has three daughters who all still live at home. She has a great sense of humor and would appreciate cards that make her laugh as well as cards that send prayers.
SEND YOUR CARDS TO: Stephanie Criblez 4604 Maple Leaf Dr. Columbia, MO 65201 USA
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT573 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
Jenn such a sad situation for Stephanie, I pray that she will be better. This card goes out today.
Barbara you chose some bold colors! Unfortunately I did not have the basic green, but did make a crochet hook in that color.
Both GREAT challenges!!

Everyone--sorry I went AWOL, but I've been on vacation and just got back this weekend. I got texts from both Stephanie and her husband and the cards you all have sent have given them many smiles. Thank you all so much!! The surgery went well and I'm sure she'll be back scrapping soon.
I am almost done unpacking and have my last load of laundry in the dryer (do we wear more clothes on vacation?) and will be looking over all the cards in the gallery tonight.
Hello and TFL at my card for Stephanie. I saw a lovely card in the CAS542 French Bastille gallery from this past week and my idea for Stephanie just came together. Since Stephanie likes to read I immediately thought of the devotional book Lavender Hair and mentioned it in the inside message to her. I hope you enjoy my abstract version of a Lavender plant. I also stamped one on the outside of the envelope for a sneak peek! : ) Enjoy your day, Teresa

I wanted to thank you all again for the card shower for my friend. She is getting ready to start chemo again and your cards were such a bright spot for her as she was recovering from her surgery.
Thank you!!! I LOVE this group of caring, giving women!!!!! And only wish I had the time to play every week.
I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up, as well.
A little bit of a deviation in my meeting this challenge. I chose a book for the recipient to read and got inspiration from the book cover for my card, using the popsicle theme. Take a peek at the synopsis here: Popsicles and Poisons: A Cozy Murder Mystery! I am very late to the party, so I kept with the theme, but my card will go to a crafting friend for her March 2022 birthday. Maybe she'd like this suggestion for a fun-looking mystery!
