Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Let’s use a sketch this week. It doesn’t matter where you get the sketch. Splitcoast has a sketch challenge every week and you can see all the sketches they have used here. You can also find sketches on Pinterest or you might have some sketch books.
DESTINATION STATION I am very excited about my challenge this week because I am doing this for a friend. My friend, Karen, comes over to my house to make cards occasionally and the last time she came she was making cards for her cousin, Shelley, who is being treated for breast cancer. While she was at my house, she mentioned the Teapot Challenge, because she knows I am part of the team. I sent the info into Jacqueline, and I got the challenge! So this week we are sending cards to Shelley. These are things Shelley likes: lake time with her family, decorating, reading, cooking and baking, Motown music, the color yellow, roses, playing Words with Friends, snow globes, and the game Michigan Rummy. I bet you can find some card ideas there! Let's cheer Shelley up with some cards! SEND YOUR CARDS TO:
Shelley Gunder 265 Venice Way Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 USA

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT572 inyour upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.

The more I look at the card I made for Shelley, the less I like it for her; it just looks too dark and stormy to me, which is not the look I was going for! I am instead going to send her this card that I made for a color challenge a few weeks ago and that I haven't mailed to anyone yet:
Karen these colors are WONDERFUL!!! I love the colors you chose.
Pat great challenge today, this card will go to Shelley. My sketch I used is this one

Message from Shelley (written to her cousin Karen)
Oh Karen, I have been receiving handmade cards, each one more beautiful then the next from all over the country! And of course include yours. All had written such kind words inside. The amazing part is, these are all from complete strangers. I even received one from France! There are so many wonderful people out there including you , who is at the top of the list. I cried when I opened and read each one. It was so kind and thoughtful of you to start this. I am getting more down days lately physically and mentally. I’m going on 9 months of chemo and it has worn me down. I force myself to get up and go to work but it keeps me busy at least. As soon as I get home now, I go to sleep. I tire so easily. These beautiful cards gave me a lift to keep going. Thank you so much!
Finally got to my craft room yesterday so made this for last Tuesday's MMTPT572. The challenge was to use a sketch and one of Shelley's favorite things is the color yellow. So I made a card using the sketch from SC524 with a yellow flower to send to her!
