Nothing major for us this summer. My husband has been working a ton of overtime hours, because one of these days we are going to gut and redo our kitchen.
This weekend we visited friends who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. The wife actually sang at my wedding almost 26 years ago. So it was fun to celebrate with good friends.

Always good to visit with old friends Kim. I've been busy with the animals (hatched a few chicks and I'm working on a new coop) and hubby has been busy with a new to hi old pickup truck. I also have more eggs in that I'm hatching for a local lady.

Well, you should come visit the Seattle area to cool off! Yesterday was a lovely, sunny 80. Today it's in the 60's and raining!
Ironically, one of the daughters of my friends with whom we celebrated this weekend lives in Seattle. She has no intention of ever moving back to Illinois! Apparently she has fallen in love with Seattle!

My husband is getting more and more serious about buying an RV when he retires. He wants to travel a lot maybe be in the RV all the time. I told him I could not fit my craft room in an RV! So he pointed out that I have friends across the country who have craft rooms and he would be willing to take me to visit anyone I wanted! LOL
he knows that if we ever live in an RV even part-time I would have to have a pretty good spacefor some supplies.
Must. Have. Stamps.

People new to Seattle either love it or hate it. Some just can't get used to the winter gray and drizzle. The evergreens are worth the trade off for me.
We were in NC & traveled through the night to get home. Pulled in at 4:30, I crashed & set my alarm so I could be awake... or a little awake for this!!

Holy cow! Hope you have coffee.
