Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Birthday are special for so many. When it comes to birthdays there is cake, balloons, presents, surprises, and family & friends to celebrate with you. Bring on the birthday cards with either cakes, balloons, presents or make a card with a fun surprise element.
DESTINATION STATION:
We’ve had a request for handmade birthday cards for hospice patients. The center used to have a volunteer that made cards but that person is no longer there. Teapotters to the rescue! Birthday cards for men and women are needed in various themes: floral, humorous, beach, masculine, etc. Consider future mailings to this location if you’ve got extra birthday cards to share. No doubt they’d be very much appreciated.
Here is a Quick Link to the Teapot Tuesday Birthday Bash! Challenge Gallery
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT571 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to Jacqueline.
when sending cards for the center, how are the insides to be handled? (Blank, birthday sentiment wording but not signed, etc) and do they need envelopes as well? thanks !
Lisa great challenge today - here is my birthday card.

Birthday sentiments can be included inside but leave them for staff and family to sign. I'm sure envelopes would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, it is taking me a little while to get back into the swing of things after returning from over seas. DH (Rick) has had a couple of oporations the second ended in a mad dash back to emergency about eight hours after he had been discharged from hospital that resulted with him being readmitted and another four days in hospital.
I'm also franticly making samples for the VSN this coming weekend, I'm hosting one of the challenges.
My younger brother Peter flew up from Hobart in Tasmania for a visit and flies home today, when we huged and said our goodbys we both knew it would be the last time we would see each other (he has inoperable esophageal cancer and dispite treatment the disease has taken over) It is increadably sad.
I will be back to play just not sure when but loving the galleries.
I usually prefer the teapot party clues for personalized design purposes. This was to be generic and therefore was more of a challenge for me, but I like how it turned out and I think it could be a birthday card for anyone. Thanks for the push I needed for this one, Lisa.
Love this challenge! I know when Jacob (MMTPT569) was in the hospital and on hospice, he loved getting cards. Made this masculine birthday card tonight after work. Hope to make another masculine card and 1 or 2 feminine birthday cards tomorrow for the challenge. If not tomorrow, then definitely on Thursday with the plan to get them I need the mail on Friday morning. Here I see my first card:

I'm so sorry about your brother. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate and mind.
