Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Hello ladies, it is lovely to be back in Teapotterville and hosting this week's Teaparty, albeit a sad one. Originally I had thought a teaparty full of Kathy's favourite colour yellow and lots of sunflowers would be fun. That doesn't seem suitable now, so how about making a tranquil scene with a sunrise or sunset, or perhaps a pretty floral creation including the colour yellow.
DESTINATION STATION:
Lisa, aka Shoe Girl, had requested a tea party for a co-worker’s mother. Unfortunately, Kathy, our original recipient, has passed away. She was in ICU for 8+ weeks fighting an infection.
Understandably, her husband of over 50 years (Bob) and her daughter, Tracy, are beside themselves. We’re going to send cards to Bob and Tracy. I guess uplifting, compassionate sentiments and thinking of you type cards are appropriate.
Send your cards to:
Tracy Bornfleth & Bob Royal
4410 N Golf Dr.
Buckeye, AZ 85396
USA
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT568 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to Jacqueline.

Thank you so much Miss Susie for hosting a tea party for my wonderful co-worker. I can't tell you how much this means to me. I am heartbroken over her losing her mom and I know that she will appreciate the cards.
I initially did a card and after finishing it I decided it was just not the card I wanted to send my friend. So back to the craft table I went to make the card I really wanted to send. Here is my card for Tracy, Bob and their family:
beautiful cards - love the sunflowers. I just received a die from Amazon of cowboys on their horses which I will do in black, and I will make the background a sunset. I made a card recently and was amazed at how beautiful it came out with the orange-yellowish background.
One of the cards I made for yesterday's SU team meeting, fits this challenge. I had leftover cards, so one will be sent off to Tracy and Bob. Even though I did not use any yellow on this card, it is definitely in sunrise colours. Butterflies and flowers by yellowrose46 - at Splitcoaststampers

PS I just realized that my card doesn't have far to go. I used a Cactus Flowers postage stamp on the envelope. I selected one with bright yellow flowers.
Good to see you back again Susie. Hope you had a wonderful time someplace nice and warm.
Here is my first card for the Tea Party. There is a second one coming - don't know which one I will send yet. Just hope the mail to Arizona is quicker than my cards to Canada at the moment - taking up to six weeks and longer to arrive!!! Airmail - HA!
All I was on a conference call yesterday with my team and my super sweet co-worker Tracy brought up that she and her dad have received many cards already from the teapot gallery and was blown away at all comforting cards and prayers for her family.
Thank you so much for sending her family so much love and support during this difficult time.
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings. As I'm late to the party, I will send my card to my own mother.
My card shows off shades of yellows and colors often seen in sunrises or sunsets, such as yellows, ambers, oranges, red-oranges and reds. It is also a cheerful and uplifting card.
