Scrappin' Challenge 2019Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2019 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc19jun"
I actually did more scrapping than chatting in May, so with the 13 layouts I completed last month, I am at 51 YTD - woohoo! We have lots going on with summer activities for the kids in June, so I think I will set my goal at 10 layouts.
Sharon, that is a great layout! Love all the elements on it. I am all packed up and wait to get to my retreat tomorrow at noon, unpack and start scrapping. The plan is some heritage pages of my DH’s family. But , I just plan to enjoy it and not race to see how many pages I can do. That is what I usually do. I am just going to take my time. If I only get 4 done, and not 20, I am not going to worry about it!
I just thought of something tonight. Since I am doing DH ‘s family, journaling will be difficult. On Pinteresti see they journal aunt. So and so. DH has never called his moms sisters aunts. They are just Doris & Gladys. I guess that is how I will label it. I will be doing it like a third party, because I never knew most these people. Oh, well, rambling.

For the last several months I have been doing more scrapping than card making. How does this work? I have lots of pics waiting to be put on pages. I sometimes make lots of pages a month ;then maybe none for awhile. How do I start? Summer will be busier so I may not get a lot done but I need challenges or something to get me going. Thanks
Glad you stopped in today. From the looks of your gallery you have a pretty good handle on making layouts even if it has been awhile since you posted many.
Lela has some great challenge from last month which is always a good starting point.
There is a variety challenge this month posted by Motherload post #9. That one might be a little daunting for getting back into scrapping.
I find it a little daunting myself!!
Enjoy the ride and welcome back to scrapping.
I need to work on the journaling tomorrow for the variety challenge.....that long title is done!!! Then I will post my layout.

Sharon, sorry to overwhelm you with my "extra long title" challenge! Glad you decided to rise to the challenge, and hopefully you had some fun thinking up something really wordy.
Oh my goodness ... JUNE already! Seems crazy to think we're 1/2 way through 2019. At least Summer is (sort of) here ;)
I haven't scrapped in a few weeks, too busy with so much else going on, definitely photo moments! I need to run a couple errands this afternoon and then I'm barricading myself in my Scrap Space for a marathon evening of Scrapping ... just need to get started!
We're off again tomorrow to go visit our youngest DS for his bday. Best part though is after that i'm home for most of the next 2 weeks except for a couple day trips to MI and WI. Should give me good hours in the evenings. I'm going to be busy finishing my cards for CTMH Convention Swap though ...
I started out so well this year and have Jan-March scrapped, done and in the albums. Now I need to work on April - June and it was busy, busy, busy ... it will probably be an album by itself, LOL!
Good to be back ...

Well maybe I should have said that when I first read the challenge I was a little intimidated but once I got going picking out words from phrases from my Silhouette library it took on a life of it's own...being that I left plenty of white space I would go all out on the title!!
Lela, glad you have a couple of weeks to do a little scrapping!
Hi everyone...just popping in to say hi. Hope that you are all well.

I've been really tired with the heat here in So Cal (100 degrees F yesterday, supposed to reach 101 today), so I haven't been able to focus long enough to get much scrapping done, but I'm determined to finish up the layout that's been sitting on my desk for almost a week! In the meantime, here's the layout I finished last Wednesday and finally got posted in the gallery.
Oh My... It’s already the 11th and I am just now popping in here. I got a big Goose Egg ZERO pages done in May, but wow did I have a lot of events to scrap in the future...
YTD is 80.
I will only put down goal of 4 forJune and will check out Cheryl’s Variety challenge and am excited to see Avalon’s as well.
Two pages finished thanks to Cheryl's Inspiration challenge. I have the most difficult time thinking up titles for the heritage pages. They can't all say Family, but I did that on several! LOL
I worked on lots of pages at the retreat, and had a ball and made new friends. But , brought home most pages to finish at home. embellishments, titles and journaling. That has been taking a lot of time. But at least I got started!
Here is the Early Years and Brother & Sister

Hi, I have been MIA taking care of hubby.
We spent a week in the hospital with bad infection.
Even the doctors were surprised how well he came back from it.
Now there is a new normal getting into play at our household with all day care for him 3 days a week.
It allows me to get things done without having to stop to attend him so I have been taking advantage the two days (so far) his caregiver has been here to get things done around the house.

Have not done any scrapping in almost two weeks.
Sharon, you and hubby are definitely in my prayers. I missed you and wondered if something was wrong. glad to hear you are getting used to new normal. Cyber hugs!
not quite Vacation but definitely busy June. This weekend is the Charity Event I've been working on for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). We're doing an Airplane Pull in Cleveland. Let's hope for sunshine
Monday I head out to SC for work Mon-Wed, my nephew's graduation from Marine Boot Camp Th-Fr. From there on to FL for the week
Lots of fun life moments! Hopefully I'll have time to scrap them in the Fall

My kids are on vacation but that just makes life busier for me. This week is VBS at church, and I am in charge of one of the "stations," so my days have been full of prepping for that. Plus I spend three and a half hours at the dentist yesterday trying to figure out the cause of a week-long toothache. Finally nailed it down as a cavity that developed under one of my crowns, so I will need a root canal. I'm on Tylenol with codeine until the endodontist can do the root canal (July 5th!), so I am not a happy camper. I have a layout half done on my desk but the pain makes it hard to think, so not sure when that will get done - uugh!

Cheryl, that root canal is not a fun prospect and a long time to be on pain medications. Did they give you some antibiotics to help with the infection of the root?
No none nada scrapping being done here...don't even feel like doing anything. It could be the pictures I pulled out I don't like or what I am trying to do for a layout. I am not good at using wedding pictures!!! The wedding is not too bad but all the events leading up to the wedding!!!! UGH, I run out of ideas.
