Okay, I don't like to make waves, but back in November I ordered 2 @ $4.50 for a $9 expense. I never got my order. It was BO for a couple of months. When I inquired about it, my demo said "I put it with your order." I said it was not in my order. I went through all my bags, double checked everything. So then I asked her to check with all her customers to see if they received it in their bag by mistake (why did I have to make that suggestion, shouldn't she have?) So she sent out an email, no one ever claimed it. In the meantime, I'm out $9 w/no product. I'd even meet her half way, but she's made no effort to reorder for me, or give me a credit. She got a $9 SU sale credit and I got nothing. Now I've got a $27 BO item for 3 months and I'm trying to stay on top of it, but the demo doesn't do a good job of communicating w/us, unless it's about our upcoming monthly workshop. Advice? Can I contact SU directly?
Did you pay by credit card? You could contact them and submit your order and have them deal with it. You would need to find another demo though afterwards. I don’t know if you want to do that.
Yes. Contact SU directly. Referencing your payment method should help. If you paid with credit card and Demo, nor SU will help, notify your credit card company an they will intervene and get your money back. They will deal directly with the person who received the $$ from your charge.
Change Demos. She should have handled it instantly without question.
So many good demonstrators out there with great blogs. I can think of at least a handful that would have put out the effort for you. Unless you need to stay with current person, move on!
What are your back ordered items?
Two or three months for a back-ordered item seems to be a bit too long. I have never had one take so much time. (Not to say it can't happen, but I have no experience with it.)
I think I would call Stampin' Up! and explain what is going on with your demo, and with your orders from her. If you have order dates and payments that went thru your credit card or bank, that would help them to locate what they need. I hate to say this, but something sounds terribly fishy with this demo's handling of orders.
Update: I contacted my demo, and she has my 3 mo B/O, but I won’t get it until 5/25, cuz that’s when she comes to town. I searched SU demos, found 1 an hr away, and she has a nice website with evening classes. Currently our demo comes an hr to us, shows us 1 card to make, in 5 hrs. I would rather pay $ for a class and walk away with cardS. I appreciate your help.
That seems to be the hitch......too far away.
Surprised she does not have product shipped directly to you. Mine does.
It seems you are figuring out others do a better job!
In regards to having an order delivered, where I live I can’t have any5ing delivered because of living in a rural location. So my demo has my order come to her and I get it from her. So there are those kinds of circumstances.
Was your 3 mo backorder the Incredible Like You kit?
I ask because I had it on my list for a while and it really did keep getting its back-in-stock date pushed back-- I had found some stock update page and every time the date came around, it got changed to the following week. I was finally able to order it this month, but I think I originally planned to get it in February.
Definitely work through SU customer support to get resolution if possible, and certainly explain the issues with this particular demonstrator. If you have lost trust that the BO is definitely coming, talk to the credit card co. And no matter what ... change demonstrators. Countless numbers of demos will order and have the product delivered from SU in Utah directly to you. That lady's business ethics are poor.
Last update. The BO was the Incredible Like You Kit, and I finally got it. I contacted SU customer service and they rectified the problem, so thank you for that suggestion. I found another demo, so sweet. Went to her class on cards. Amazing, I did not know that demos would do all that at her examples and put our cards together. We made 8 cards with envelopes. I placed an order and it gets shipped directly to me! What a difference. 8 cards in 2.5 hrs VS 1 card in 5 hours! Thank you SCS forum.
