WT738 - Stencils
Lisa here your hostess for this weeks Ways to Use It challenge.
When I initially came up with the thought for this challenge I had a card in mind I wanted to make. Then I got behind in my card donation for my pet sympathy cards and went in a whole new direction on my stencil card. Today's challenge, use a stencil on your cards.
There are some terrific tutorials using stencils. Check a few out and have fun with one on your card. I can't wait to see what you create with a stencil.
Stencil Sponging
Stacked Stencils
Double Masking
Shaving Cream Stenciling
Here is a link to our gallery:
Stencils
Here is my sample:
Pet Sympathy
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
We have wonderful cards this week from the very creative team. Please see Carla's, Sabrina's and Toni's terrific cards.

Thanks Lisa, I watched all your links...stencils are so fun and I took quite a journey clicking on the random links within links. In the end, I did a reverse clock stencil with spray.
Here's mine:

I finished a card which has been sitting on my desk for a while with this challenge as a prompt - I didn't want to add any more stamping but a stencil to remove some colour was just perfect. Thanks, Lisa.

Lisa this was a fun challenge today! Unfortunately you can barely see my chalk stencil in the picture - but in real life it looks pretty good.

I am working toward my "Challenge Catch-Up" goal as usual!
My floral bouquet was a homemade white cardstock stencil used on another card to create a colorful blender brush negative inked floral bouquet. I am recycling my leftover inked homemade cardstock stencil for this card. (I just love this idea...two cards in one!)
Here is my oldest daughter's birthday card:
