My car is a dark gray with shimmer to it. I was thinking how nice it would be to have a foil paper just like it, especially to use with the car set, gear dies... things like that.
I gave a co-worker a card with a River Rock base and she immediately went to the paint store with it and got the color matched to paint her master bath!
Ya, I know how it is. I was on the beach a week ago, talking to my DH about the gradations of blues/greens of the ocean water as we stood in the sand looking out to sea...soft sky, cool Caribbean, tranquil tide, not quite navy, with a touch of soft suede for the coral reefs.
Fortunately he knew I was having a Stampers-memory-moment and not experiencing sun stroke!

Maybe this condition should be known as Stampentia...

Stampentia - you are a genius!!!!
That is the best name ever to describe it...another symptom of the disease is being easy distracted when surrounded by stamps, papers, blings and dies AND forgetting about all the other things that need doing. Having dreams about making cards is another symptom...
Based on this I have really serious case of Stampentia. :p And I like it that way.

Yes those are some of the key symptoms! It’s probably chronic with many of us, and definitely contagious! I found it has flared up significantly again, since all the sneak peaks and things posted on IG from OnStage.
Tonight my husband and ate dinner out and he saw a truck in the parking lot. "I really like the color or that truck," he said. I burst out laughing and he asked why. I said, "In my Stampin Up world that color is called Really Rust."
He is used to living in my Stampin Up color world now, but he still just shook his head.

Last year I was extremely ill. I was in ICU on life support for a week. When I was waking up I saw color block panels on the wall and thought how nice it was for the hospital to paint those panels old olive, pumpkin pie, and early esspresso! So glad I'm here to laugh about it!
While watching TV, my DH always asks me, What color is her blouse?" or "Is that tie such and such?" If I don't answer in an SU color, and just say that it's an aqua or hot pink, he says, "Oh, come on, you can do better than that!" I don't get into the In Colors anymore since they have changed their containers/pads twice since beginning that, I quit, so sometimes I have to make up my own alliterations!
While I'm a stamper now, I still relate colors to the big box of Crayola crayons that I had as a child oh so many years ago. Same idea but different color source. I need to look at my stamp pads and add to my color list .
My hubby just calls the whole thing The Cult. That’s as much input he ever gives me ... :( Although if I refer to one of my gadgets as a tool, he perks up! He is a tool man, plaid and all!
I have a group of crafting friends who come regularly for a play date. We all contribute to a pot-luck lunch, and people are very generous with the food. One of the group looked at the well-covered lunch table one day and named our get-togethers "Stamp and Stuff". The name has stuck.

LOL! My husband refers to my craft room as my "crap room", and any time I can't find something his response is, "You organized it"... Gotta love these guys, eh? I painted all of my actual tools (circular saw, cordless drill) pink, but he "borrowed" them anyway...

So does my husband. But he likes that I have something to do that I love. He goes shopping in my card collection for birthday cards for the grandkids. Likes that too
My DH calls all my crafting and scrapbooking and even SCS, Stamping Up. Everything is Stamping up. I guess I have been collecting it for 20 years!
My DH calls all mine "Snappin' Up" because he is a Snap On tool guy.

You know you're an SU user when --
--you look at the Northern Lights, and wonder if you can create the same effect on a card with Wink of Stella
--you wonder if there is some way you can use your Stamparatus to mass-produce the frosting on your gingerbread men cookies
Last night I had a dream that my husband and I had a beautiful house in the country (we don’t; we live in a small apartment in NYC) and I was unlocking the front door to enter the house when I noticed a small window was smashed. Then I saw that most of the windows of the house were smashed - and I realized someone had broken in. I opened the door and the thief had not just taken valuables but had stripped the house of everything, including all the furniture. Shock and despair! I looked around the room and then saw the thief had left my big box of dies, and a dresser full of stamps (the vast majority of which are SU). I remember the feeling of relief I had in my dream, like ok, the robbery isn’t so bad - and I said to myself - thank God he didn’t take my craft stuff! Haha

I am glad this was just a dream...but it made me laugh too!
...your 7 yo daughter throws up on your (open) brand spanking new SU! catalog and you jump up to clean off the catalog first, before your child.
I must add said daughter is now 16 and functioning well in life, so my moment of selfish panic did not scar her
Thank you for this, your post just made me laugh out loud. The real - oh so sudden - unexpected - kind of laugh out loud. I startled my kitten next to me. She didn't appreciate it, but I enjoyed the laugh.
