Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Family Therapist Virginia Satir says , “We need four hugs a day for survival. We need eight hugs a day for maintenance. We need twelve hugs a day for growth.” Whatever the number may be it has been shown that hugs can strengthen your immune system, help you relax, boost your self esteem, and can instantly elevate oxytocin levels, which heal feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anger. For today’s challenge we are sending paper hugs to Amanda.
Amanda was brought to our attention by her friend Misti (Scraperwannabe). Misti tells us that Amanda can’t seem to catch a break...the past year has been one major health diagnosis after another. As you can imagine, Amanda is feeling pretty overwhelmed and could use some encouragement and comforting thoughts. Let’s wrap Amanda up in some paper hugs. She loves blue, hydrangeas, and religious/faith-based cards are welcome.
Extra challenge: Use your favorite embellishment on your card. Tell us why it is a fav.
DESTINATION STATION:
Send your cards to:
Amanda McCaslin
3420 Brookside Drive Midwest City, OK 73110-7231 USA
Be sure to use the keyword MMTPT561 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card.
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
Here's my card for your challenge Polly seems to be a hydrangea garden in the gallery!!
I used lace on my card because it's one of my favorite embellishments I almost forgot to mention this!!

Thanks Polly and Misti for a wonderful challenge. I copied you, Polly, and made an envelope to match! One of my favorite embellishments is Stickles Glitter. I think it's on 99% of my cards! I couldn't find my Hydrangea stamp, so hopefully these blue flowers will bring a little cheer to Amanda.

I have to say this week's gallery is so beautiful....the variety of hydrangeas alone is amazing! We've got die cut, hand drawn, photographs....WOWZA....fabulous! I'm thankful for all the Teapotters...you're such a thoughtful group and you make a difference in others' lives.
wow - beautiful cards. Wasn't sure what a hydrangea looked like, now I have an idea. Don't have any stamps for dies to match one, but I will send a card with Spellbinders flowers, in blue
I hope Amanda really likes Hydrangeas because we have a whole gallery full of them for her. But I love them so much, too that I had to make another one for her. Blue Hydrangeas by pvilbaum - at Splitcoaststampers

I am playing challenge catch-up while making a much need card for a dear friend.
With all the hugs we need to survive, it is only fitting to make a card full of hugs for a special friend. I made this “hugs & kisses” card for my good friend who is really good at giving hugs and receiving them as well: Hugs for a Friend!
