Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending SATURDAY, April 6, 2019
The start of another month, so that means it's my turn to start this week's CAS Favorites thread. I'm just loving all the Easter/Spring cards that have been popping up in the Gallery, both CAS and non-CAS.
Here are the CAS beauties that caught my eye this week. Thanks to all the papercraft artists for their inspiration.
FS634 ~ Baby Blocks by sistersandie There's just something so sweet about Sandie's darling baby card with the white on white with just the pop of baby boy blue ribbon.
Hi, there by Sunnylovespaper I love this card! The extra wide "frame" for the focal image is the perfect contrast for the small house on the tall focal panel. Perfect!
Spring greetings by Angelnorth Joanne's beautifully colored magnolia blew me away. The design and the large sentiment are the perfect complements to this floral wonder.
WT733 - Three Brad's Birthday by ravengirl I loved the Spring patterns/colors of the DSP and the way it lends itself to using up some of those scraps we all inevitably find piling up over time.
Hey, Gillfriend by Bar I love Barbara's colorful fish, but was especially intrigued by the look she got with her resist emboss and debossed rays.
Birthday Card by bmbfield The interesting edge of the floral die cut and all that wonderful sparkle on this beauty really caught my eye.
No Line Water-coloring Orchid by Stampinwendy13*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** Wendy's no-line watercolor flower really wow'd me. Her mutiple mat layers really draw the eye in without compromising on the CAS design.
Tropical Chic Floating Frame #2 by MaryLisaK*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** I love how Lisa used pieces discarded from one card to make another stunning CAS card. Check out both versions in her gallery.
Global Design Project 183: Theme Challenge by Christyg5az*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** Christy's soft colors add an extra layer of beauty to this already lovely card. It seems to me to be the visual equivalent of the impact of speaking softly to draw the listener in to hear your message.
CAS527 The Itsy Bitsy Spider by Penny627 I think Jeanne's humorous card touched me because I am soooooo not a creepy crawly person - whether that creepy crawly is a spider, or a centipede or anything in between.
So now it is your turn - what CAS creations caught YOUR eye this week?
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
--------------------------------
And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
If you have favorites to share that don't fit as Clean and Simple, we encourage you to share those favorites in the regular Favorites Thread. I will post the thread once it is available
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button. 2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites." 3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy. 4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line. 5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links. 6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
