WT725 - Going Dotty (1/31/19)
Hello everyone...happy Thursday! Cathy here with this week's Ways to Use It Challenge.
Who doesn't love polka dots? Today's challenge is to use Polka Dots on your card...stamp them, stencil them, emboss them, splatter them or use patterned paper... Let's get Dotty and fill your card with Polka Dots! !
Here's my sample: Dotty Hearts
See the thumbnails for some wonderful Dotty samples created by Lisa, Sabrina and Carla!
Here's a link to the WT725 Going Dotty Gallery!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE

Thank you for the challenge Cathy. I needed to get a few more pet sympathy cards made for my donations and this was perfect to crank a few out.

Super challenge. I love polka dots. I chose to splatter mine by making snow on a winter card.

Usually my Thursdays are spent babysitting my granddaughter, but it is still frigid here and that involves a 25 mile drive each way and coming home in the dark. Just didn't want to risk it today (I also fell on the ice earlier and am a bit sore) All that to say, I got to stamp today instead!
Succulent Hope

I love polka dots!
I recently bought a PixScan mat for my Silhouette Cameo. As part of getting it to sync with my phone, I had to print a paper filled with dots. Why waste it? I turned it into circles for a few cards.
I was inspired by this challenge, as well as a lovely card from beesmom (links in the descriptions of my cards, so I'm not taking credit for someone else's card here).

I can't seem to get the edit feature for cards when I am on my tablet (currently my only computer), so: A little disclaimer anout my 'Genious' card with the butterfly. Thanks for all the sweet comments. The butterfly was fussy cut out of the new Botanical Butterfly dp that is can be chosen as a freebee if you order $50 American ($60 canadian) during Salebration which goes until the end of March. Also, the die cut circle was in my trash pile because I stamped a sentiment wrong, and when I turned it over, I got a smudge on it.

WT725 Pleasant words
I unearthed this wonderful Scripture based stamp and paired it with a small bee image, adding texture with a honeycomb embossed background. As my card needed a bit more pizazz, I added a yellow patterned and black and white dotted set of washi tapes to my card's upper and lower horizontal borders. Here's Pleasant words

I'm playing challenge catch-up! I so love dots and polka dots, so I incorporate red & white polka dot patterned paper on my card.
Here is my card: A Birthday Card All About the Past!
