Hi Everyone!
I am looking to have some Custom Made Stamps done. The only problem I have is, WHERE to have it done! I know about Joscie.com, but do you know of any other place to have them done? I also know Dina knows of a company, but can't remember the name of it & can't find it on her blog. :( So, Dina if you're listening..... ;) LOL Would LOVE to know what you all recommend! ;) THANKS in advance!
The Stampin Place-I had some made-simple ones. Take a design and have your name inserted but they do custom too. I felt it was reasonable and they were SUPER fast.
I have an address stamp and two "made by" stamps that I got personalized from Paper Angel. I really love them. And they're always running a sale or choice of free stamp.

Oh, THANK YOU Ladies!!! ;) I was hunting around on the internet & getting a little frustrated, & remembered HOW WONDERFULLY HELPFUL the ladies are here on SCS, & decided to make my find easier by posting here! INKY HUGS!!! ;)
the Stampin Place made 2 custom stamps for me. excellent customer service and
the stamps are red rubber and stamp really well! I had them make a Logo stamp of a Vineyard that I make cards and Wine Bottle tags for and I couldn't be happier with the stamps!

Just a note - I placed an order for a custom stamp at www.rubberstamps.net this morning and less than 3 hours later got a shipping notification! Their wood mounts are laser etched with your stamp design - so pretty.
If you do order from them, they have the option of a "handle" on the wood mounted stamp - I don't order it with the handle. That is an additional office-style handle that comes up from the wood mount, and then you can't see the etching (well you can, but with a handle in the middle of it).
OH NICE, Dina!!! This is a stamp you designed yourself, then???? Is their system of uploading a picture hard to do at Rubber Stamps? I looked at it & I remember they allow you to do that.... Yeah, I don't think I'd like the handle coming out of it either! LOL Your stamps look SO NICE!!! ;) I think I'll be ordering something soon. Still working out the design in my head! ;)
Another vote for rubberstamps.net. I asked my sister, a professional artist, to design a logo for me. Many stressful days later, the difference between crafter and pro abundantly clear, the professional proof went off to Rubberstamps. It came back in 4 days, beautifully rendered and totally awesome!

Thank you! I came to trouble shoot my embossing powder and was taken in with kind ladies trouble shooting with me through days. I was encouraged to pull some late nights after the baby went to bed and embossed a storm! I will start filling out the gallery. I admit I was 'hearting' gallery cards earlier today! Very creative people here. I am glad that I joined
LOL You are a young mother it sounds like. It is hard to find time to play with babies. We understand & look forward to when you can post! Babies ALWAYS come first! ;) They're PRECIOUS!

Well, I JUST RECEIVED my first stamp from RubberStamps.Net. I chose to have the simpler one done first to see if I liked it..... I DO!!!! I'm VERY PLEASED with it!!! I ordered it on Feb. 12th & received it today--Feb, 16th.
Dina, if you're still listening..... Did you create your "images"/ Lettering with a computer or hand draw them? I'm still playing with the next one as it is a little more complicated. Just curious! THANKS DINA!!!
Hey! I did mine on the computer. If you hand draw, make sure to scan at high resolution (at least 300 dpi), and then make the image completely black/white.
Thank you Dina! I thought maybe you did use the computer. I don't have those skills sadly. This first one I did, (and have received already) I hand drew, (I made it fairly large) & kept it black & white. I took a picture of it, edited the picture, & then played with the thing on site to make sure it was the right size for the block. So it wouldn't hang off. It came out wonderfully. I kept the image fairly simple. Being basically computer illiterate, I'm not sure how to get the "high resolution" you're talking about. I WISH I did. Anyone else like me being basically "computer illiterate?" LOL
I finally ordered a new custom stamp! Would love to design one, but just don't have it in me right now so I ordered one from The Stampin' Place. Looking forward to my new stamp! Thanks everyone for your input, I needed this info as well! Eventually I'll design and order from Rubber Stamps.
