Hello all...
I would like to attach my round ink blending sponges to the underside of my ink pads. I have some velcro from a sewing project but it will not stick.
Is there a specific kind of velcro needed and if so, what is it and where can I get it, preferably in Canada.

well, I think some times people find self adhesive velcro at places like Joann's fabrics ( in the US) but, in my mind maybe if you can not find little circle velcro like that. ( I have also seen things at Homedepot.
if you cannot find it, maybe craft size glue dots would hold the velcro on the bottoms of the pads?
I can tell you I tried this with my distress pads once, and I did remove them all because, I keep those pads in an old wood tape deck spinner holder and it made it too tight to get the pads in and out after.
You can find self-adhesive Velcro in lots of places - most commonly in fabric stores (check in the home dec aisles if it's not in with the notions), but I've also seen it in hardware stores and craft stores. Look in several departments or ask customer service to help you find it. I've purchased it in clear, white and black. If you already have some, though, you should try glue dots or double-stick tape or something first to avoid spending more $$, I'm thinking...

Velcro should stick, unless it’s too old or something happened to it, or the undersides of the pads are dirty or slick. Before buying something else you could try cleaning with a little alcohol on a cotton ball or cloth or alcohol wipes.

Get the really thin hook and loop sets that you would use on your papercraft projects. They come on sheets in a box. That way, there is more chance that the velcro doesn't use up too much of that bottom-of-pad space.
I use self adhesive velcro type circles I find at JoAnns. I discard the side I don't use and only use the hook side. The pro tip I wish I'd figured out earlier, is not to put it where it covers the name of the ink...oops!

One tip I would give is to "laminate" the bottoms of your ink pads before sticking on the Velcro. I just take a piece of clear packing tape & put it over the back label on the ink pad base. (Hope that makes sense!) I used to just stick the Velcro on the pad's underside label & call it done. But the way I stored my Distress ink pads (full-size), the underside label would get soaked through with ink (I assume leeching through from the foam). That would cause the Velcro dot to come unstuck, which kind of defeated the purpose. :P Anyway, if I stick the packing tape piece down first, the ink doesn't soak into the label & so the Velcro stays put better--problem solved!
