Shoebox Project Information: Final count 26 (22 kits plus 4 completed)
This is the only mandatory part of the day which will take place on our schedule in the morning and afternoon.
All shoebox projects should have individual pre-made kits so participants can take the supplies in case they don't finish all swaps. For each kit, put all of the precut paper pieces, ribbons and embellishments needed to make your project into a ziplock style bag, an envelope to keep the finished project in or even a junk mail return envelope. It’s much quicker to have all of the pieces already sorted out and bagged than it is to have to dig through multiple bags of supplies looking for what you need. You will need an extra bag or envelope with extra pieces for “oopsies”.
**Please have your shoebox completely prepared and ready to go when you arrive for the gathering. Unfortunately, there have been complaints at past events of people not having their shoebox projects ready for their tablemates to work on, making this reminder necessary. If you don't arrive with a completed and ready to go shoebox project, your tablemates are not obligated to allow you to do the project they have prepared. Prepared means having all of the elements of your pre planned project prepared and ready for your tablemates. Tossing a bunch of random supplies on the table and instructing people to "create whatever they would like" is not acceptable. Please be considerate of others and extend the courtesy of having your shoebox project ready when you arrive. Thanks!!**
*Your shoebox project can be anything stamped*
• If you are making a card, we will make FULL cards using at least one embellishment (ribbon, brads, buttons, etc).• Quality CS is a MUST! This means your base cardstock should be strong enough to hold up your card for display.
• Please have all card pieces pre-cut.
• Please bring stamps or other items for your project
• Please include instructions (aka: recipes), tips and any other important information.
• Please bring four extra completed shoe box projects. You will use one as your sample at your table, two for hostess gifts and one for a door prize.
• You may make other projects keeping in mind it should not take more than 10-12 mins to complete.
We will be voting on the best shoebox project for a prize.
Swaps Please note that if you sign up for a swap and do not fulfill your commitment, you will not receive any swaps from the others in your group. Check your counts before the day of the event to be sure you have the correct number.
We will have 5 swaps:
1. NVR CARD full card

Swaps are not mandatory – you may participate in as few or as many as you would like. Please remember to showcase your best work using quality products. You must use at least two layers and one embellishment on each swap – thanks!!

Make sure you use quality card stock so the cards will stand up easily and aren’t wimpy and saggy. (Similar to 6x6 Recipe card) you may want to use a lightweight cardboard (covered of course) or chipboard as your base.

Card Candy final count 10 Card candy is a sheet of embellishments you make. Card candy can be used to embellish cards, make tags, dress up scrapbook pages, etc. How does it work? You make ONE SET of 5-6 (minimum) coordinated embellishments FOR EACH SWAPPER, adhere them to a sheet of acetate or waxed paper or parchment paper, bag them up and add a cute topper. That means, if there are 8 ladies in the swap, you will make 8 identical sets of at least 5-6 embellishments and package them. If there are 4 swappers, you make 4 sets, etc. Card candy should have a theme or be coordinated, ie baby theme, birthday, season, etc. or a variety of color coordinated embellishments ie all shades of blue or black and white or pink and purple. You can be as creative as you want. We ask that your card candy be dimensional (2-3 layer minimum) with some bling or buttons, brads, ribbon, beads, feathers.....whatever makes it just right. Make something you’d be happy to receive. See samples below.

Ladies we have a great new location with parking, full kitchen, and tons of space between tables and separate eating tables.
Lunch will be catered by Chiavetta's - the chicken and pulled pork lunch you ladies love and those delicious birthday cupcakes for my and Beth's birthdays again.
Goody bags and raffle prizes are awesome again as well as Beth's make & takes.
Please notify me about swaps so we can get those going too.
As Joanne said, there’s plenty of parking. You’ll enter right off the back lot at door 1. There will be a sign pointing to our location. There IS an elevator on the right side once you come in the building. We also have plenty of room for you to set your bags and boxes down away from our stamping tables! Hurray!!!!
See you all in just over 168 hours 😃
