I have a been using the multi-platform plates for embossing with my Big Shot with good results, but I got tired of flipping the plates around so I started using an old Spellbinder's rubber mat on top of the magnetic platform, embossing folder and top plate instead, the results are much better with deep impressions.
Bohodiva, thanks for the tip. What do you like better about your embossing results using this sandwich? Also, which tabs do you have down on your platform?
Thanks!

I took my BS extended platform plates apart by unscrewing them.
Since purchasing a standard size magnetic platform it has become my base for all die cutting and embossing (magnetic plate + clear plate then die for cutting or embossing mat for embossing + top plate) The embossed impression is much deeper with more detail. So I haven't been using the BS extended platform plates at all.
