Challenge Title:Favorite Things Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP16 Date: December 3rd, 2018
IT'S DECEMBER!!
Wow...how quickly it all went by, right? To celebrate the season, this month's challenge is born from "These are a few of my favorite things"...one of my all time favorite songs from musicals and also so fitting for Christmas! This month I would like you to look back on the year and create a NEW card or project from your favorite challenge. You can even choose a challenge that you didn't participate in.
Here's my card inspired by the awesome song! I was inspired from a card I saw on Pinterest! Sentiment by Papertrey Ink, Inks and paper by Gina K and festive greenery is from Sizzix Tim Holtz Funky Festive thinlets.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My Pinterest Cards I love board literally has thousands of pins. I pin more than I make! I think it shows how much talent crafters have...I love them ALL. Pinterest is my main source of inspiration. When I sit down to craft...I'm blank. I look at Pinterest and I'm so happy I can say "I can make that!" It also says how many supplies I have that I usually have the exact stuff...lol.
I hope you participate!
Merry December!

Oh there are so many things that I would like to make for this challenge!!
But first is that I wanted to make cards to go with the A2 card box made for the Holiday Blitz this past November!
So using my mini MISTI I arranged the stars in red this time on my base panel and then stamped the sentiment. Added splatter for the final decoration!! TFL!!
Gorgeousness Sis Ann!! I will do my best to sit up and stay up long enough to come up with something for our wonderful and fun Misti Thread!! I to have way to many ideas going on in the head so till it’s on paper I’d like to say Good luck All and have a
Mele Kalikimaka!!
Ok I have gotten one out of my minds eyes and on paper.....this is inspired by Sis Julie Who Made one similar she was inspired by one of mine and for my week as Featured Stamper she honor me with a absolutely gorgeous creation and I fell in love with it . Mine is not as perfect as hers but still it was the inspiration behind it and it reminded me of the Misti Challenge where we took stamps that wasn’t a holiday set and made a holiday themed card...
Thought I would play along this month. I loved making my own plaid background (TLC714) so I did it again. I used my MISTI to hold my paper in place as I drew the lines..and it also acted as a guide for those lines...the grid helped especially for that.
Beautifully done Sis Polly!!! I love making my own plaids too. Plaids I always say are like buttah.. they make everything better!! Mahalo for the inspiration!!
I really do believe a MISTI would not only speed my card making but help me save on my card stock as well. I make 75 of these cards for my brother. Thanks for Looking.
Polly, I never thought to use my MISTI to make plaids!
Sally, I hope you win this month...I use my MISTI more often than I ever thought I would...especially for sentiments so I can double stamp and not waste cardstock! I'm rooting for you.
If I can get over this stomach bug and actually desire to spend time in the stamp room sitting I have a card in mind. Before i got sick I tried to make a card design that I saw on the Sweet Petunia thread but the "birthday" image i had was too small so it wouldn't bend much...and I thought I had hexagon dies only to discover if I do then I no longer know which category they are filed under in my boxes! :p

My week did not go as planned (insert stomach bug) and only yesterday did I feel able to spend time in the stamp room. Enjoyed a bit of time using the MISTI to make my own backgrounds with VersaMark and embossing powders. Had great fun!
Also learned to NOT leave a background that is adhered with DST to the MISTI for any length of time! UHM...yeah...removal requires determination!
Excited for the winner whoever she is!

OMG!! I can't believe it...I was thrilled to see the PM from MISTI this morning saying I had won. :p I'm very excited. I have the original MISTI so I'll have to take a look and see what to add to that. It'll be fun shopping....
Thank you to MISTI for offering this challenge every month and giving such a generous prize. You are a terrific sponsor here on Splitcoast and supporter of the stamping community. Thanks again! ;)
I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, catching up on some old challenges as well. I'm choosing to repeat MSP-12 and making my card with a new to me technique...dry embossed/ embedded washi tape.
My card is for an SCS friend who's birthday was missed in January and who's May 2019 Teapot Challenge was missed. The theme is "thinking of you" since her birthday was so many weeks ago, and I wanted her to know I was thinking about her on her birthday and after as it became more and more belated! In addition, this theme was an option for her Teapot Challenge as well!
