2018 Cards For A Cause
DECEMBER MISSION Stamp from the Heart!
ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Bring Smiles To Seniors, Inc.
Description of Organization: here is a statement from their website..... If you are a card maker, we welcome handmade cards that are either blank or have messages written inside. It is totally acceptable to sign your name on the card. We just ask that you send the card unsealed since we seal it with a sticker that makes it easier for seniors to open it. Blank cards are used with our school and civic partners (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, and civic organizations). General everyday "thinking of you" cards are best since we don't have any personal information on the community residents. We do provide donated birthday cards to communities that receive our deliveries so their residents can use them.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: if you do write a message do not seal the envie
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the " referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, let's help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. This is great! I also recommended this organization to you in October when you were looking for suggestions, although I had mentioned the Florida location. They accept packages at both locations. I just mailed a box of Christmas cards to them on Friday. So I think this time I’ll work on some general “thinking of you” cards for them to use in January. They have always been so appreciative of the cards I’ve sent in the past.
Thank you for bringing us another great cause. I have quite a few Christmas cards that are looking for a home. Then I'll get busy and make some general ones for later in the month.

I apologize. I have not mailed any cards. My husband has been very sick and I've tried to take on all his usual Christmas chores myself. Its been a difficult to find any free time - between work (I work in finance so this is Year-End close on top of everything else) and trying to keep my husband from doing too much. I feel particularly bad since this is one that I recommended. Next time. Sigh.
