Hi everyone! Thanks for taking a look this month. I cannot believe we’re in the month of November already. This year has gone by so fast!
Gift giving season is upon us. If you’re like me, you take pride in giving people gifts that express your love and the thought you put into it. In this day and age, however, gift buying has been replaced by gift card buying. Not that there’s anything wrong with gift cards, but sometimes it’s a bit anticlimactic watching someone open an envelope, already knowing the contents.
That’s when being a card maker comes in real handy!
My sister is a Postal Service employee of 25 years and she can buy pretty much anything she wants or needs. So, gift card giving makes it easier figuring out what to give her. A big part of my gift to her is in the presentation and that is where this month’s challenge idea was born.
This month I’d like to see a project that serves double duty as a card or tag plus the addition of a gift card holder.
Below is my tag that doubles as the gift with the card holder on the back. It also coordinates with her Christmas card I’ll be sending in the mail.
The MISTI was crucial in this months challenge project with helping me align my stamping on the die cut pieces and being able to stamp multiple times in the precise place needed to get clear, crisp results with my inking.
I remember how frustrating it was before I discovered the MISTI. This project would have taken me forever, IF I actually completed it, quitting out of frustration.
This month, please show me how you incorporate gift card giving into your cards or other projects. I took a picture of both the tag and the card, but the tag is my challenge piece.
Have a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends. So glad you are here and I'm thankful for having this wonderful challenge for another month.

Made my card for this challenge...made a friend card with a tag since I have no use for tags as an individual item. Sending this to a friend I've known for 33 years!
The tag and card are beautiful. Good luck everyone

I would love to join in on this challenge and take the opportunity to get a $50 head start on a MISTI. I don't own one, but salivate every time I think about it. Anyway...I'm not sure I completely understand the challenge. Am I creating a card with a tag or a card that can double as a gift card holder (cutting slits on the inside to hold the gift card). Or is this a card with a gift card holder as a tag on the front. Or anything I want? Help somebody. I know SCS challenges don't have a challenge police, but I really want to get it right to have a chance.

I have asked questions in the past and not gotten an answer...go with what you understand and enjoy the journey!

"This month I’d like to see a project that serves double duty as a card or tag plus the addition of a gift card holder."
So, looks like a card OR a tag, that also serves as a holder for a gift card. I had thought it was only tags, but when I re-read the first post, I saw it also said card!
I read it as A card or tag that can serves as a gift card holder is my understanding. Then again no popo so it’s the creators interpretation and good luck because no matter what anyone makes it should be fun , imaginative and joyful!!! Good luck and share your lovely creations win or lose!!! Have fun!!
Pat and Hawaiian...it always makes me smile how difficult it is to understand challenges...but then...I remind myself it is a challenge...
Then I tell myself...enjoy the challenge and learn...
I've made a gift card holder once in my card making days...I could try again but not with the card and tag I already made because
I MAILED IT...
Now that should count as bonus points!!! :p
Pat, I will take your understanding and try again...I did like the card I made and maybe I could surprise my daughter with a gift card sometime in 2019 as I do know she likes to shop at JoAnn's for yarn...

Sis Faye I think you did wonderful in Your entry and it beautiful!!! There is no popo and no one has the right to make you feel what you entered is not worthy. If we have misunderstood the challenge or not I don’t think even our wonderful hostess would not say we have it wrong. Yes it’s a challenge and you can enter as many times as you wish . Just remember have fun , enjoy what you love, keep sharing it. It’s fun to have challenges that challenge us even if we get it right or wrong. For me I just love doing the challenges and I learn many things I may not Otherwise dare to try or venture.
Sure there are challenges and what the challenges are . I must read them all wrong because non won . But I came away with knew technique, knowledge but most of all I had fun!!! Only 2 things will stop me from keep playing and that If the host says I can or I choose not too!! So be happy Sis enjoy and share whatever your heart leads you too.
Lol I look at it as if I got it wrong then the winner got it right!! Awesome Congratulations to the winner!!
Yeps Sis Faye that’s the attitude!! Very productive and positive!! Ever challenge I entered here I learned something new and love it as much as I love my Misti. I’ve even mentioned it to some other Sistah to come play along... haha the hostess might get tired of me soon but learning is knowledge and knowledge is amazing!!
Haha when I Think of Muscrat ...I think of that lil critter and the song Muskrat Love lol and now you mention chocolate the person we love that sporting the SCS handle muscrat loves chocolates!! Especially those kisses cherry ones!! Lol
This was lots of fun!! And part of the reason there is no stress to making all of these items is due to using my MINI MISTI!! If you don't have one play along and maybe you will win one!! So much fun!!
Here’s mine.... this took some thinking, but wanted to use it for my son’s girlfriend for Christmas. Will add a local pet food store gift card for her. Sure thankful for my MISTI!
Sis Vicki...wow, you are on a roll girl. Love them. Good luck everyone. Happy Monday

Congratulations to annsforte3 for winning November's challenge! Her adorable snowman card was exceptional! I really enjoyed looking at ALL the projects you created! All very creative! I loved this challenge so much!
I saw there was a question regarding the challenge below. I'm sorry I didn't see that! I thought I had my settings set to email me notifications...but I guess I didn't have that properly set up! So sorry! But yes, everyone got the challenge perfectly! They're right when they say there aren't challenge "police"...laughing...so cute....if you are unsure, and I didn't see your question, feel free to do the best you can. There's so many helpful women in this forum, I'm glad to see they helped you out! Crafters are the best.
Thanks so much for joining in ladies! I'm going to ask Santa for a new computer, I think. Mine took 43 minutes to warm up tonight...lol. Yikes!
Welcome December!
