While we card makers may look under a microscope at what we make, non-card-making recipients don’t. They’re the recipients of an unexpected bit of caring.

“Get well” or “get well soon” is timeless and innocuous, simply short for I hope you get well soon, kind of long for a card front sentiment, and appears on gazillions of retail cards, stamps and dies.

I can’t imagine someone who’s been sick being offended unless they like finding things to be offended by in general. (What do you mean my hair looks nice?! Did it look bad before?!) Of course if there was any question about full recovery, that sentiment isn’t at all appropriate.
