Challenge Title: Stacking Stencils Hostess: dini Keyword: MIX304 VIEW THE GALLERY FOR THIS CHALLENGE HERE
Happy Mix-Ability day! For this week's challenge, try this stenciling technique.
Start with a stencil that has an open design. Secure it in place and create a base layer using ink or another medium.
Layer another stencil over the first one, and secure it in place. Use ink or another medium to work through both stencils at the same time.
Use the double stenciled image in your mixed media project.
Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose from.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX304) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!
This sounds like fun. I'll have to wait until I'm home from work to see what more open stencils I have, most of mine are more detailed. And even though it's only 3.30, it's already too late for a daylight photo here.
I'll definitely try this again when I'm not so exhausted. It was fun - and for a CAS card I managed to included distress, DOX, acrylic paints and Liquid Pearls. And being tired, misplaced my memory card and had to go back and take a second photo with the spare one I keep in my purse .
