Default Question for my Canadian Friends

Hi there,
I have a questions for my friends that live in Canada.

In light of the current postal strike and the backlog of parcels and letters that number millions now, I am torn as whether to send out holiday cards or not??

I always send cards but do I really want my friends receiving one possibly at the end of January? I don't know what to do but would love to hear your plan for this year.
thanks.

The backlog will probably clear up sooner or later! LOL Maybe they will legislate 'back to work' but that still doesn't free up the whole mess. I am sending mine out anyway...maybe they will get there before Easter!! LOL or maybe I should 'hand deliver' them..that could work out to be quite a trip!!!

I am planning on sending mine out, just earlier than I normally would; and hope for a Christmas miracle that they arrive on time.

So far It’s only been parcels that may be impacted as there is a backlog, they are currently talking about back to work legislation, which looks like it will happen.

I will be mailing my cards next week as it’s usually 10 days to reach Arizona from here.

Just chiming in to say that I’m not overly concerned with letter mail. Parcels on the other hand... I am sending one via UPS rather than Canada Post. Apparently the parcel backlog is lengthy right now and I am not going to add to the problem!

Parcels are a concern. I know that Royal Mail (England) is being asked to hold parcels. Most countries won’t ship parcels to Canada right now because of the backlog.
