Taking today's sketch challenge, I made a card honoring Thanksgiving using a stamp set "new to me". I punched out my leaf shapes, sponging on color. Inked up my sentiment panel with markers, and fussy cut it afterwards. Used a reverse die cut overlay of branches for my circle element embellishment. Here's grateful

Because of my work schedule, I rarely get to play in the sketch challenge - I was happy to be off today and love the simplicity of this sketch - It's perfect with my new Unity stamp that just arrived!! Here is my card:
used today's sketch in combination with this week's color challenge- colored my stamped images with markers- and distressed the edges. Used a small flower in place of the circle element, and added a holiday background with the green, vanilla, and red for the color challenge. Here's Santa's Sleigh

I should be cooking but I've run out of steam for today. Since it is only going to be me and DH we will just have our turkey dinner a little later tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it. If you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I'll just say have a thankful day and enjoy!

It's been at least a couple of years since I made time for a sketch challenge, but this one really helped me with a card I've been struggling to pull together for a couple of months now - so thank you!

Sketch adjusted from a simple CAS sketch to a layered sketch with basic positioning retained: I increased the number of layers to three for each number single layer: #3 base has a set of three mat layers. #1 has a set of three layers. #2 circle element used for the sentiment and changed to a geometric angled shape. Other die-cuts and fussy-cut elements were added on top #1's upper most layer.
