If you ever heard of the Quad Cities: Moline, East Moline, IL & Davenport, Bettendorf, IA; Geneseo is about 25 miles east from East Moline. I grew up in Peoria, so I know all about Champaign

I live in Lincoln (Hi Sue!) right now, but have lived in Champaign (actually Urbana), North Chicago/Waukegan, Round Lake, Charleston, Effingham and Geneseo!
My three brothers and one of my sisters graduated from Geneseo. Maybe you know them, or someone you know knows them. Isn't that cool?
I will be in Rock Island in May (sister getting married).

You guys are making me homesick! I grew up in Bartonville (just outside of Peoria), but am now living in Colorado. My family still lives in Peoria, Bartonville & East Peoria and I have a sister in Bloomington.
You guys will love this site. I am definitely spending way too much time here!

Hi StampBee! I just did a Mapquest on Geneseo and found out we're about 2-1/2 hours away -- I live in Itasca just off I-290, about 5-10 minutes due south of Woodfield Mall which is in Schaumburg (that's an identifiable landmark that lots of people know of). I'm also about 10 min west of O'Hare airport (another reliable landmark), and right next door to Elk Grove Village, which is where Bev Barton said she lives (Hi, Bev - nice to know another SCS lives close by!)
Anyhow, welcome to SCS; it's nice hearing from you! I think you'll find that on SCS, it seems like we all live on one big happy cul-de-sac!
