Alphabet Challenge Round 10 August 2018 - February 2019 CHAT
Round 10 Alphabet Challenge no combining alphabet challenges! This round is all about nature! Use items that begin with the letter of the week that are from nature. Use animals, plants, trees, flowers, etc. but nothing man made!! Example: use an acorn but not an airplane for the letter a, use a camel but not a car for the letter c.
Woooo hooooo one more card for me and I completed all of round 9 !! Mahalo Fairy Much to all my alpha lovely Sistah that shared loving and support!! A huge and mahalo To Sis Ann for keeping this crew togther and for picking up anyone that needs to be carried !! Bless your heart!!
Ann, thanks for coming up with an idea for this next challenge. Not sure when I will able to play though.
Catherine, I have a few spurts of being excited, but for the most part it has been one huge headache and stressor.
Sharon, I feel for you with the pain. It is a hard place to be in, I know that much.
Being thankful, that is key, to focus on, I agree.
Kandie, yay on the ice cream cake! Your hubs is a keeper!
You mean mix the letter in natural? Or What Letter?
Linda if you are doing the double challenge, your letter N must be something natural in nature that starts with the letter N. So you could use nuts because they are natural and not man made....that's the way I read it.
I heard the tractor and looked out. It's mom so all is right with the world!
Did any of you hear about the crane collapse on the new highway project in my area? Route 15 is closed and they are detouring people. DH had to take the back way to get to work. They say now that it may reopen on Saturday.
no I was asking Double Challenge. You say there was a Double challenge. To mix up the letters. Do you mean mix up the latter in the natural? For the Double challenge or what letter are you talking about? Thanks Linda

Linda, please read post number 16. That should help!

I don't mean to laugh, but I'm picturing one of those marionettes just flopping around. LOL
Pat, if more than one color was that wet, it sounds like your demo got over zealous with her reinkers. There is a limit as to how much ink the pad will hold.
Very creative alpha challenges, Ann! Thanks for posting them and sending via email. I had a "short" memory lapse....I kept looking at the 26 challenges thinking, well, there's 52 weeks in a year, the second page of the challenge email must not have come through. THEN, after pondering on this a minute (or two)...it was a DUH moment...there's 26 letters in the alphabet!! SMH
Ann - I saw your post that said it was Moving Day and I said, "NOOOOO!" Only because I've done enough moving this summer. LOL. This move is much less painful than the last one I did (and am still doing as we aren't completely settled yet).
Let me tell you, it is still rather challenging to make cards right now since that area isn't completely settled. If I was much wider, I'd have even more difficulty getting around the things in order to make the cards I made for DTGD. I really need to finish getting settled in...and then work on purging more boxes. But settled first!
OK. So DS and I are bing watching the last few episodes of the walking dead tonight. We were on the last episode. So exciting.....then the tape stopped! The tape ran out of room before the episode ended! Ahhhhh! I told him that was a possibility but he wanted to start it anyway. So we did see the big climax, which was awesome, but we will have to wait until Tuesday to finish watching that final episode because it is to be released on DVD then!
Oh, I hate it when that happens, Kathy! The girls and I just watched Gotta Dance about the original senior dance team for the New Jersey Nets. What fun!
Good morning! I thought I would check in because I will leave about ten and be gone most of today. I haven’t done a card since DTGD, but I did do a couple of ATCs, but haven’t uploaded yet. My room is a mess. Feeling like I did yesterday, I pretty much did nothing. I have learned how to block calls and have been trying to do that every time those scam callers or Rachael from cardholders services calls. I know, they will just call from a different number...
I did manage to get some sleep last night, although in three different places! I just told DH. I can’t change positions, (have to stay on my back) so I change locations! Our bed, couch, guest bed, and back to our bed at 5:00 for an hour. Finally got up at six.
Sharon, sorry you can not sleep! I sleep on my sides and when I can't I don't sleep. It's what you are used to and that takes a long time to change.
Seems so strange to be on round 10 already! Next week is just a week off! We will not start on challenges till the 29th! Just a reminder! Gives everyone time to relax and slow down after DTGD and with life!
Gotta run, its rainy, humid, and dark out and the grandkids are coming!!
Good morning, happy new alphabet Challenge thread! Pat, the box with your underwear was shipped to Sharon, who will not be moving back into her apartment until the end of August, so you might have to just buy some (and swing by Tuesday Morning while youre out!)
Im here. I lost track halfway through round 9. Round 10 might be a renewal time for me.
Wonderful estate sales DH and I went to yesterday! A small home with lots of pink and turquoise, and immaculate, even though the wife died years ago and the husband was 97. I found 16 hardback books, lavender sheer curtains, a pretty pink vinyl and gold metal vanity chair, garden clippers, and a retro pink clock! DH tried to make me feel guilty, since he was paying and hed only found one thing. He pouted, and said okay, Ill put my little gas can back!
Then we found a second sale, an old little home in a field, not immaculate but equally with lots of turquoise, with cupboards in strange places and really narrow doors. Does anyone remember the Anne Geddes pictures of babies wearing sunflower hats with their little faces peeking out and sitting in flower pots? Used to be real popular. I found a stuffed toy still in the box and unopened. So cute!
