I tried using vellum today (believe it or not for the first time Lol) and embossed it with a cloud scene, it worked well; however, I realized after I used my tape runner to adher it to the cardstock, the tape shows through! ughhh
I am apparently "vellum impaired" lol what do you use to attach it to your cardstock?

It might be tricky, but trying to hide/disguise little adhesive areas holding vellum is what many of us try to do. Likewise, limiting adhesive to just a few spots behind the vellum rather than trying to adhere each edge/side is a worthy tactic. Try scraps on scraps before committing it to your lovingly-made creation. ;)
I've been using frugal smears/brushings of Ranger Multi-Medium Matte with good success.
If it still shows through a bit, I burnish it and then it disappears.
I also will attach vellum where I have another element on top that covers the adhesive, so I can use a stapler, glue dot, foam dot, etc.
I use my Xyron. I have the 5" one. If your piece fits through, then you have a coating of adhesive on the back that can't be seen.

If framing your vellum would work with your design, the frame can hide the adhesive. Jennifer McGuire demos it on her blog video about a Distress Oxide technique, but you can fast forward to 14:00 minutes to see it.
I've seen several people say they use the white glue such as Tombow because it dries clear.........haven't tried it yet but it sounds like it will work.

I can't remember where I saw this - but someone suggested taking The Tombow and dipping a wet sponge in the glue. Then dab on the vellum. I didn't try it myself, but it looked nice as she was doing it!
