Happy Saturday & welcome to the Inspiration Challenge! There is pretty much anything & everything on today's site. As I found out, a lot of the pictures will lead you somewhere else, but don't worry about it. This week's challenge is brought to you by Real Simple. I know you've probably seen the magazine, but the site is HUGE! So huge, it changes almost hourly. So hurry on over, check out Real Simple pick what appeals to you & go create! Be sure to link us up to what inspired you.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many, or too little, images to choose from, I've uploaded 5 (or more) of my favorite designs! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

On a windows machine, right click the picture (on a Mac, 2 finger click). When the options come up, select COPY IMAGE ADDRESS. This link will be for that picture. Inspired by the ghosts on the staircase as a decorating idea- number 5 of the listed illustrated scenes - I used an enamel dot for the head shape, using parchment paper for the ghost's form, an adding a spiky bottom edge to the parchment. Rough twine was wrapped below the ghost's head to give it more form, and I drew a friendly face. Dry embossed the background with skeleton heads and scrolls, doing a direct to paper swipe technique to highlight the raised areas and give it a distressed look. Added a panel of vintage halloween paper from my stash, and a hand written sentiment from Pinterest. Here's ghost hug

Thank you for the challenge, Julie. I thought the magazine was chock full of inspiration, I had no idea it was online, too. Wow! Here is my Silhouetted Starry Night

This was a tricky site to navigate, but once I got the hang of it, there was much to see! I went to "Shop" and women's clothing, and I ended up at Lulu's. I found a lovely navy with large white flowers, long, flowing dress...so pretty. Here is the link: Navy Blue Floral rint High-Low Wrap Dress Lulus, and here is my card: Zinnia Hugs for a Daughter!
