Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending SATURDAY, August 4, 2018
I saw a meme on Facebook this week that asked the question, "Is it just me, or did June and July last like 5 minutes?" When I turned the calendar over to August this week, I had to agree - the summer is just zooming by. I hope you are savoring each moment and looking forward to lots of summer fun this month, including Dare to Get Dirty Challenges, which started today.
Here are my CAS Favorites from this past week. TLC701, Good Times by kdunbrook I just love Karen's style and this card's sunny yellow and great sentiment earned it a trip to my Favorites folder.
Broadway Birthday Hooray by dostamping Dawn's choice of various black and gold elements, combined with lots of white space on her card base makes for a classy CAS look.
Joy and Berries by susanbri Susan's holiday card is total CAS elegance. I loved the depth of color she achieved.
You are a Ray of Sunshine kth by kthaman I'm pretty sure that, regardless of the kind of day you had, when you lookat Karen's happy card, you have to feel uplifted.
CC698 Holly Noel by CherylQuilts It's the little details than can take a CAS design up a notch. In the case of Cheryl's holly card, that perfect detail is her choice of embossing folders behind her focal image.
A Note of Thanks by kiagc Kia's beautiful result from the alcohol lift off technique make me want to give this technique a try.
So now it's your turn - what CAS beauties did YOU uncover this week? Share your picks with us. If, like me, you also found some beauties that aren't CAS in style, I invite you to share those cards on this week's regular CAS Favorites thread.
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
-------------------------------- And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point --------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
I did not get as much gallery time this week as I had planned, many late work nights this week. So that being the case I missed a bunch of amazing CAS cards. Show us your CAS favorites. What did I miss?
Thank you, Debbie, for including my card on your list. I truly appreciate it. Thank you, Karen for letting me know...and giving of your time on a Sunday for this endeavor. Hugs, Sallie

I didn't get to do my favorites from last week (super busy week) and there were some that I really wanted to share:
Oh, precious CAS Favorites gals, you are LOVED! I more often forget about separating my favorites, but I should do CAS favorites especially since I am trending more to CAS (I think - ha!).
Thank you, Debbie, for starting off the thread this week! Thank you all for sacrificing your time to put a smile on her faces and encourage and warm us! Thank you, precious Karen, for notifying me today. You are a real joy!
Thank you, wonderful Debbie and Linda, for including my CC698 Holly Noel card this week. I enjoyed making it and will continue to try more CAS cards!
Heres a list of some cards I saw this week, but I didnt have a lot of time in the gallery.
Oh, sweet Angie, thank you so much for including my CC698 Holly Noel card this week! You just put a smile on my sleepy face this evening! Hugs and love! And thanks again to Karen for all her notifications! Love you so much! xoxo
Heartfelt thanks to Diane and Angie for favoring my card! CAS is challenging for me so I truly appreciate the shoutouts!

Thank you, Susan, for mentioning my card on your list. I truly appreciate it. Thanks again, Karen, for ever being "on the job" and letting me know. Hugs, Sallie
Oh, sweet Susan (susanbri), thank you so much for including my CC698 Holly Noel card in your list this week! You've honored me so, and it made me smile this Monday morning (after having realized that they delivered the wrong tile for our walk-in shower -- yikes!). But life goes on, and it's a joy to be delighted. Thank you! And, precious friend, sweet Karen, thank you for notifying me. You are all so dear in this lovely CAS favorites thread! Hugs, all my loves! xoxo
