Scrappin' Challenge 2018Can you believe this is our 10th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2017 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2018! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2018! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2018 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc18aug"

I made my goal of 5 in July and actually surpassed it a little, so I think I will set my August goal at 8, for 2 per week. Not sure I can manage this with school starting (which means the dreaded homework), but I will try. My YTD is 27 layouts.Considering I didn't scrapbook at all in February and March, and only did one layout in April, I'm happy I'm pretty close to my goal of one layout per week for the year.
I am thinking of documenting a day in my life. I am doing digital so I don't have to wait for any delivery.
Question
Do I document when I get back into my real time zone
Or
Do I document a day this week while I shift back to days
Finished 7 pages for July with YTD at 91. Goal of 8 for August. We are heading to the lake this weekend for a week, so first available scrap time wont be until the 12th. Going to miss DTGD, too. I’l be having a great time with family but I will secretly long for my craft playground as well!
Hello....still in Scotland but only for a couple more days and then head into England. Haven't had chance to check in but thinking of you all. I have a closed blog on FB if anyone wants to follow me called for the love of travel with jaynie....if you send a request I can add you. Not for the faint hearted....lol My photos are on there too. Take care jx

After running around today and being home now I want to start a scrapbook page. Being Friday, I went for a sketch challenge which is featured on the home page. I picked the sketch for August of last year to play with. I pulled out a batch of photos that I believe I can make work for it.
Anyone else planning any scrapping today?

Hi ladies. Just wanted to let you know the August Variety Challenge is posted, so c'mon over and play! Also, I finished a couple of layouts already this month, so here they are:
Happy Friday! I flew home from Seattle today. While I was glad to be home, it was absolutely an amazing trip to Seattle. So much to see and do. Of course, work too so it made for long days as I tried to fit in working and seeing the sites!
I also went to a Scrap Retreat so I have some pages to finish and upload. That's my plan for this weekend...so much to do, so little time.
What's on everyone's Scrappy Agenda this weekend?

So good to hear you had a wonderful time in Seattle, Lela! How productive of you to actually get work and fun accomplished. Looking forward to seeing the pages you accomplished on the scrap retreat. It would be quite an adventure if we could arrange a retreat for our scrappy friends here who have gotten to know each other through these challenges.
As for my day, DD's friend has his DD and 2 grands visiting and we are all going to the zoo together. Then mass at 4:30, I am serving so can't miss it. Should be home before 6 and will make something for supper. Don't think I will scrap today and this is the start of a week of card making which I'm looking forward to.
Have a fun, safe, and productive weekend!

Sorry, Lynn! I was hoping you were on the upswing.
Lynn, glad you are back!
Joyce Ann, I am done with today’s DTGD challenges. Hope I can keep up like this all week.
I am way behind on scrapping! Cheryl, I hoe to get to your challenges after DTGD. I even have a challenge to come up with for Monday! Eek!

Sharon, I hope you can come up with the challenge for Monday, too! Only a couple weeks left before school starts again and my schedule gets super hectic, so scrapping will be on the back burner. I want to do the Stashbusters challenge before that madness begins!
It's just cause I am not sleeping... my tracker says I sleep less than 2 hours and it is VERY interrupted.. so I am officially disturbed! LOL
Working on a project for a friend. She just came back from Gander Newfoundland. If you remember 9/11... US airspace was closed... planes in the air on the east cost all landed at a small regional airport in Gander.
I realized today as I took time to add up my totals for "Scrap/Stamp to Spend" that YIKES! I need to just get BUSY, BUSY, BUSY and get my pages and cards done. So many dollars spent on supplies this last month ... I was up some by the end of June but July/Aug have already tilted the tables
:eek::eek::rolleyes:
Good Motivation to keep plugging! How are you doing on your 2018 Goals?

Hi ladies
I am still hanging around here and there. Not getting too many layouts posted even tho I ended up getting 13 done for July. We headed North for three weeks the end of June into July. We stayed in a vacation home in my home town where my DGD and I got to enjoy the night time festivities on the 4th of July.
That was the first time in years that I have seen fireworks as we were close enough we could walk down to the lake and not have the hassle of traffic! We came back home the middle of July.
I have lots of kits made up for our travels that I will scrap next week end at a 3 day crop.
I will have to check out the challenges here to see what I can incorporate into my layouts. I have three layouts done for August.
My hubby is bugging me to complete my Yosemite album so I can show it when we visit his family tomorrow, so I'm scrapping away today! I posted a couple more layouts in the gallery; the first one is actually an unfinished layout that's been sitting in my stash since 2009, but I finally got it out and added photos. Sharon, maybe that should be the month's Stashbuster's Challenge: add photos, title, and journaling to a layout that's been in your stash over six months!
My hubby is bugging me to complete my Yosemite album so I can show it when we visit his family tomorrow, so I'm scrapping away today! ......
Like Cheryl ... I'm on a "Scrap Mission" today! I have 3.5 layouts to complete to FINISH another album! Yup, all the pages would be done, scrapped and in the book! I have SO many albums that are "partially" done, it's bugging me so I'm motivated to finish up these albums.
Obviously when I went to top-loading pages, it allowed me the freedom to scrap photos as I was inspired however, I still like to have them in chronological order in the album. I love it and it's been easier and more fun ... however, the flip side is now I have albums that are 3/4 complete. More than one so I just decided I need to have a few more TOTALLY DONE.
My Goal is to have 3 older Albums "Complete" by 2018 PLUS my 2018 Albums DONE so I don't keep carrying over ... For my goal I have 1 of 3 older albums done and I'm up-to-date through May in 2018.
Today, I want to get the 3.5 done for the 2017 Album!
What are you working on?

Had a hard time falling asleep last night...must be the cat! LOL
anyways I have heard a lot about bible journaling. I just can't see myself writing in a bible....so I did find this site that has some journal cards as well.
