Hi, it's Sabrina here to start this week's Favorites Thread - with thanks to Carla for moving it into the forum while I'm enjoying my sleep.
It's almost the end of July - and that means that for Fan Club members, Dare To Get Dirty is on the horizon: an exhilarating and exhausting week jam-packed full of inspiring challenges.
If you're a Fan Club member already, the chat has started HERE. And if you're interested in finding out about the Fan Club, THISis where to look.
About this thread: The current week's FAVORITES thread is a way to give recognition to some of the standout creations shared in our SCS Gallery. This is the place to link all the fabulous favorites you discovered in the SCS Gallery last week, Sunday, July22 through Saturday, July 28. Everyone is welcome to join in -- check my next post for directions.
Got a CAS card favorite? Look for the CAS (Clean and Simple) Favorites for Week thread in the Favorites Forum.
Our dedicated team members notifying this week are: Janine (Jay_Bee), Carla (Covington Crafter), Carlene (Chatterbox-1), Shirley (wannabcre8tive), Kia (kiagc) and myself, with Angie (ohmypaper!) faithfully picking up the later posts.
I had a really busy week and only had three cards in my Favourites, but since I was starting the thread I made a little time to look at the uploads for the week and doubled my list. Carla's WT challenge on Thursday brought some fabulous starry dogs into the gallery - and many other fun and fabulous cards.
You don't have to wait until you have a card in the Favorites threads. The more participation we have, the more fun and interesting this thread will be. You also DO NOT have to wait for a notice to post a thank you. Please help the Favorites Teams by making sure:
That the LINKS in your Favorites List work correctly.
WE ARE UNABLE TO NOTIFY LINKS THAT DO NOT WORK.
IMPORTANT NOTE: MS Word and other office software have format programming that conflicts with SCS programming. Either copy and paste the code directly into the SCS site orprepare your post in Wordpad, TextEdit or Notepad then copy and paste into SCS.
The card makersSCS NAME is shown, it really helps if their name is in color.
It really, really, helps if you have a BLANK LINE between each entry.
And please DO NOT use the Quote button to the side of the post when you post a thank you!! Replying with the Quote button causes the original message to be repeated. That can confuse the team, and we may notify people twice.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU listed in your favorites for this week. Here are mine, quite a few (for me)...there was a lot of good work. I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow so nothing from me this coming week. Have a good one. Jean
I have been away this week so I "hit the gallery" this weekend and have found many beauties including some from new posters.
What is always sad to see is the number of cards with no comments but there is no way I can view and comment on a whole week's cards in a couple of hours.
Here are the ones that particularly "caught my eye"
Mahalo Fairy Much Sis Lisa aka shoe girl. I’m humbly honored and greatly appreciative! Mahalo Fairy Much Sis Kia for the Happy Mail.
And because I have linking more then one link at a time my favs goes to all the lovely cards made from the teapoter that all took the time to make and send me a card to uplift me MMTPT521 if I got it right and many more Aloha!!
Good morning! I haven't done this in some time, but I want to make it a regular weekly event for me. These are the cards that made me stop and take notice, cards that made my heart beat a little faster in awe. Thanks for all that you teach me and help me grow as a card-maker. I'm sure I missed loads of fantastic ones, these are the great ones this week that I saw...--
I apologize profusely that I do not know how to change the color of each member/artist's name, I will try to find out how to do that for another week. Thanks so much to the team who do the announcements, I just hope that my list of favorites brings great smiles and feelings of joy to all on my list! I'm sorry for all of the fantastic cards I missed, and last night I simply couldn't write anything when I was perusing through the gallery and wish I could have added a few more--some pain flare-ups...
This is such a great tradition at SCS and I hope to do this most weeks...
I'm looking forward to checking out what is in other members' favorites lists to see the amazing cards that I have missed.
Have a very blessed Lord's Day everyone!!!
Blessings,
Joanne

Thank you to Robin, Nancy and Monique for favoring my birthday card for my grand daughter Adelynn aka: Addie and Sabrina for the notifications.
As most of you ladies are aware. This year has been hectic. My MIL is soon to be 84 and having one fall after the other and seems to take every waking minute. I use to do my commenting from her house but she has had her internet taken out. I'm trying to catch up on that but I still have the same horrible service as before. My sons are stationed in Alaska in Hawaii and we are now Iowa. So helping them out isn't just a short drive to their homes. My son in Alaska is having health problems. My son hAwaii was deployed. He has a 2 and 3 year old and When my DIL went into early labor and he wasn't home. I flew to Hawaii to help . I got to spend almost 6 weeks with my grand babies but they really didn't know me, only seeing them a few times. Got back home getting ready for my first vsn I started it late. I finished 2 cards, the phone rang and MIL had fallen again. I never uploaded the cards...weeks have passed now. I might have to write this year off.
Thanks for all the support younladies give me. I love being a part of the Splitcoast family.
