Challenge Title: CAS490 Die Embossing Hostess: Kia (kiagc) Keyword: CAS490 Date: Week of July 16, 2018
I am guessing as to the proper name for what I am asking you to do for this week's challenge. I would like you to use your dies to emboss on your card. No embossing folders. The best way to achieve good results doing this is to emboss the die from the back of your cardstock. I use a Spellbinder's Platinum, so to emboss I have to change plates, and normally my die would be on the top, but for this process it is on the bottom, then cardstock, then the mat and embossing plate. I also lightly spray the top side of my cardstock with water, a light spritz, which will stop the cardstock from crinkling, especially if you are using a large die. You can also emboss the back, add your background, and then lay down a die cut in the embossed area, which I have done on my "for you" card. Another good reason for embossing from the back.
I hope this makes sense to you. I will be up for a bit, so ask questions in the thread and I will answer them in the thread.

Jen, I think its basically the early steps of the tutorial Dina has here for debossed resist, you just stop at the outline stage. There may be something else in the tutorials section but that was the one that sprang to mind.
Sorry Jen ... I was sleeping! It is just to use a die to emboss on your card instead of cutting. You want the shape of the die to appear as part of your design.
Always remember talented stampers......all of the challenges on SCS are an inspiration to get crafty and creative!!!! There is no wrong way to play! Just ask Lydia!!!
