Challenge Title: Color on Color Hostess: peeps321 (Polly) Keyword:MIX285
Over the last couple of months I’ve been trying to improve my coloring skills. We are fortunate to have many wonderful colorists at SCS. You know who you are and WE know who you are! Obviously the more you practice, the better you become. So today I’m challenging myself and my fellow stampers to make a card using an image you need to color. And to follow our Mixed Media guidelines, color your image using two mediums. You can use markers, colored pencils, acrylic paints, watercolor paints, chalk…Here are a couple of tutorials featuring color on color techniques:
Tip: If you are using Copic markers and colored pencils make sure to do the Copic part first. The wax of a colored pencil would damage your Copic tips if you did it the other way.
I can’t wait to see all your beautiful creations! Of course the most important thing is to have fun!!
Remember to use at least two or more mediums on your project. See this postfor ideas. And put MIX285 in the keyword section.
I stuck with using my bisters again, and added some chunky EP to one just for you ;-). Also used watercolour and Polychromos for colouring, and white acrylic.
Funny, I'm sure I remember using that tutorial at least once before but I must have uploaded my card to some other gallery because I didn't see anything from me in the Technique Spotlight gallery .
Love the picture Anita...and thanks for using your chunky ep on both cards Sabrina ;) . I like seeing the different combos used here and perhaps folks are getting out some lesser used supplies :p That's always a good thing.
