2018 Cards For A Cause

ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED:
Community Pregnancy Center

Description of Organization:
Mission statement: To strengthen women and families by serving those with pregnancy-related concerns through educational, emotional, spiritual, and material support.

The CPC provides many services to new moms and dads including layette package, formula, diapers, counseling, cribs, car seats, etc. They are there for crisis pregnancy as well as anyone who asks for help.

TYPE OF CARDS:
They take all sorts of cards - anything including Baby (for new moms), Birthday (for volunteers), Thank You (for donors), and praying for you. They have also started a mens ministry so cards for men are appreciated too. Envelopes are appreciated but not required.

SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS:
NONE

GUIDELINES:
Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. I just found this, Teresa, an d so very glad I did. I've shared this info with my Team and have asked everyone to accept the challenge of sending at least one card.

I wasn't sure you were going to post in July so I pulled out some of the older requests and had already started making some cards for this organization! LOL Great minds think alike! I last letter I got when I donated cards here mentioned that they specifically look for baby cards (to give to the women when their babies are born) and Thinking of You cards - for those women who they haven't seen in a while. Already have a dozen made and hoping to make a bunch more. THANK YOU for posting these opportunities each month. I do so enjoy making cards for organizations who need them.

I post a different cause every month, we revisit from time to time but that is ok. always on the look out though for causes that have never been a recipient...thanks!

Haven't had to make many baby cards so I'm excited to try my hand at them. Will be glad to send them others from my stash. :p

I'm eager to hear how many cards total were sent. This group really makes my day. Also looking forward to what is coming up for August. I should have a bit of down time from work so I hope to do a number of cards for the next month as well.
