2018 Cards For A Cause
MAY MISSION Stamp from the Heart!
ORGANIZATION BEING FEATURED: Project Give Thanks Description of Organization: We make (and re-make) free cards for the use of chemotherapy patients at the Tebo Cancer Center of Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, CO. Any theme or sentiment will be appreciated!
CONTACT PERSON: Teresa - va.sunshine
Referred by: Ann - slick37
TYPE OF CARDS: Any theme or sentiment, envelopes are appreciated.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: None MAILING ADDRESS: A. Key 166 S Buchanan Ave Louisville CO 80027-9504
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.
For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. This months challenge is to be inspired by the picture/color/mood board, see first post below. Be sure to use the keyword C4AC so that we can check out your card and comment! To see this gallery C4AC click here.
THANK YOU!

I'm so sorry I've been MIA for a while....Spring was not great for us...In March my moms boyfriend of almost 20 years passed away....I turned 50 in April and fell apart it seemed. A couple weeks after my birthday I found myself admitted in a cardiac care unit with heart failure. My MIL passed away in May the day before Mother's Day. It's just been rough. But life is getting back to normal...and I have a better prognosis than the first one I got (which was I would be dead within the year). So I'm back and ready to start making cards again...so count me in on this one.
Are these cards to be given to the patients, or are they cards for the patients to use? Either way I'm in, just wanted a bit of clarification.

Same question as Ldumont999 - and again - either way i'm in!
Will have to work smart on this - so i can get shipped before taking out the 2nd half of month....
Count me in as usual. Like others wondering whether patients use them or are given to the patients. Do we need sentiments inside the card or left blank?

I keep two shoeboxes full for the patients to use while they are on their drips. There's one box of less frilly designs for men, and one for every one/thing else! And often a seasonal section for Easter, Father's Day, etc. I am often stopped and thanked for the effort when I'm there to replenish. Recently, I found that someone had used one of the cards to leave US a thank you note, saying she always looked forward to perusing our "mini art gallery" I normally go there every other week, but weekly at Christmas time.

If inside sentiments are already there, fine, if not, I don't add any, thinking to leave space for the patient to write. Thank you!

They are on a shelf for the patients to use while they're there. If sentiments are already inside, that's fine, if not, well that's fine too, more room for them to write! Thank you!

Count me in, I'm running behind so far this June, lots of things that are changing in my life that aren't bad things but nevertheless, things that need a lot of attention.
I look forward to making some cards to relax my mind and thoughts!
Sending good thoughts and prayers along for my fellow "causers"
that need them.

I was confused at first, then remembered that I sent this from the PO not from home like I usually do! That sounds about right, though. I'm in zip code 32940 if that helps…
