Challenge Title: CAS487 Water Works Hostess: Misti (Scraperwannabe) Keyword: CAS487 Date: Week of June 25, 2018
It's been a bit warm in my neck of the woods. We've been trying to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water & then finding ways to stay cool when we are outside for very long. My challenge to you is to create something with an image of water or watercoloring.
1. There is no deadline to play along with the CAS challenge. 2. Take all the time you need to finish and upload your card. 3. Upload your card to your gallery and link back to this thread so we all can see your project. 4. Please remember to use the correct keyword CAS487 when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please feel free to combine the CAS challenge with any other challenges.
The challenges are to provide inspiration and to get us stamping, so have fun and follow your heART. We cannot wait to see what you create!
Misti- great challenge, thanks! As I live near Bellingham Bay in NW Washington, I often visit the water- and we had a vintage sailing ship cruising by yesterday- this inspired my card. Added a lighthouse, 2 sailing ships, a host of sea life, and some sandpipers on shore. "Sea spray" and overall background was the result of a water mister applied to calligraphy paper, , watercolor powders sprinkled on top, then wax paper. Removed the waxed paper and used my heat gun. Here's at the seashore

Polly- you inspired me to make my second card- keep on swimming! Mine's done with a watercolor powder/mister combo for my background, and die cut sea creatures. Purple trim reminds me of sea anemone- and a twine double bow finishes my card.
