Advanced Button

When posting a REPLY in a thread with a long list of items the GO ADVANCED button does not work. It will not take me to the Advanced page. It just sits for many minutes but never opens up the advanced page.

When I use the POST QUICK REPLY with a long list of items it takes a very long time for the page to post but it does eventually post.

I use Google Chrome.
I have cleared my cache.

Don't know if it is the same problem but I had a long list of faves and hit preview and thought it was coming back up but it all disappeared. I got it back by hitting back button. Tried again, same thing. Thought I had lost it all. Third time was a charm, though it took forever. I was using Firefox.

While trying to prepare my list of favorites in the favorites thread, I experienced the following:

1) I lost all of the uploaded links, twice, when I clicked on the preview post icon to ensure the links worked,
2) The links would not convert when I clicked on the preview icon,
3) This "</o[/FONT]" (a less than sign " kept showing up at the end of the links,
5) This "__________" showed up at the end of the links as well.

Hopefully, this reoccurring problem can be rectified.

Hmmm - I got it to work - but we did do a release today so you might have been posting during that - can you try again?

It looks from the time stamp on her list in the Favourites thread that Marg was still having issues last night (my time). Perhaps not exactly the same as Bev's, but over the last few weeks multiple people have been mentioning having problems and losing posts after trying to preview.

If you are pasting from word - that inserts hidden characters that interferes with our CSS. Please paste only from the Notepad program or another app that strips formatting. Those hidden characters cause all kinds of problems.

Is everyone experiencing the problem pasting from Word?

Good Morning. No, I wasn't pasting mine. I was just typing mine. I even had a couple of yours in my faves, Lydia.

When I finished typing, I clicked to preview post and the throbber turned forever and then "poof" and they were all gone.

I was copying and pasting photos, not using Word.

I'm presuming it's all been links to photos, as the place everyone seems to be experiencing issues is when posting to the Favourites thread. Hopefully they can fix it, I know it's been extremely frustrating for many. Thanks for reporting it.

The team can't reproduce it either. Can someone give me the exact text of a post that failed to go and step by step each button clicked?

But here I clicked Post Quick Reply and it took about 2 minutes to load

Ok, so I added spaces .... so you could see the exact photo link. I posted 42 photo links (this week) that looks like the link below but with no spaces per link. Does that make sense?

Not to muddy the waters but this week I divided up my list
I had 29 links on one post and 13 on another list and both loaded for me using the Go Advanced.

Some weeks I have had to post in basic mode, wait ages for it to upload and then go into advanced mode to edit, add colours and blank lines between entries etc. If I tried advanced as part of the first step everything was lost. I use wordpad to remove any formatting.

This week I posted in 2 chunks and went into advanced - it was slow but it worked.

Hi, there everyone. I didn't even realize we were having any trouble cause I'm usually the last to every party. Boy did my Favorites page make an ugly mess today LOL. I tried to delete but couldn't find a delete button. My first attempt froze up and I couldn't go back in Google Chrome (Windows 10). I reopened the page and good thing I saved all the links on Notepad. I tried uploading about 1/3 of the links at a time. Then I saw the posts uploaded parts more than once after that. Egads. By the time I had sent the third page of links, some of them had doubled within the same upload. I have no idea how that happened because I cut and pasted only the portions I wanted to upload, not duplicates of the previous posts. I figure from now on, just try to post 5 links at a time, no more, then wait and see how it goes through. Maybe I can open Firefox or Safari to "see" what was uploaded and not create duplicates or redundant links. How this happened, I have no clue. Felt a bit of a panic at first but had to let it go. I just tried posting a list of cards. Followed the below steps.

Copy url for individual card
Paste into new post
repeat with additional cards
Click Advance button

Screen displays the url instead of autoformatting to SCS user name/card title...
