Just in case it matters, Balmy Blue is a lot closer to Bashful Blue than to either Coastal Cabana or Pool Party. Think Pacific Point taken a few shades lighter. Or Bashful Blue with just a hint of green added.
I really prefer it to the Bashful Blue myself. I'm not too big on plain blue.
I'm actually excited over all the returning colors...and most of the new colors. Mango Melody and Merry Merlot are the only two I'm NOT getting.
And I don't care for any of the In Colors. At all. I seem to be in the minority there.
I’m not liking the new In Colors either.
Balmy Blue looks pretty. ( I THINK Bashful Blue was an old color I just loved on wintry Christmas cards).
Sage Shadow was another favorite. I was hoping Soft Seafoam would be close, but don’t think so now.

Sage Shadow which I like, has struck me as close to Mint Macaron so I havent joined that band wagon. Am I off base on that?

Not being a demo, close enough is often good enough for me
Balmy Blue is very close to the old Bashful Blue. I’d say Balmy Blue has a little more color to it, not as pale as Bashful was. Compared to Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and even the new Sea Foam....which are all very greenish blues to my eyes, the Balmy Blue is just a good basic light blue.
Sea Foam is a very pretty pale green. Much fresher and brighter than Mint Macaron.
Mint Macaron always reminded me of Sage Shadow. Though Sage Shadow seemed more gray than the Mint Macaron.
I was able to see all these colors in person at my demo’s house recently.
The new batch of In-Colors, when seen as a group on display really look like your basic red, blue, yellow, orange and green. “Basic brights”. Very similar to the colors that were dropped years ago.
On closer inspection you can tell the colors are slightly different. The blue is a little deeper than the old Brilliant Blue. The Lipstick shade has a little pink undertone. The Grapefruit is an orange, but not nearly as bright compared to the other oranges that have been in the line up. The Pineapple color really reminds me of the old Yo Yo Yellow. If you have been missing a bright yellow, this is the one to get. The green is very pretty, reminds me of the Emerald Envy...but a great basic “Christmas green” without being overly bright.
I like all the new In Colors except the orange-y one... I'm blanking on the name. Whether I'll actually get all the ink pads is something I haven't decided. I'll definitely get a pack of cardstock.
I think I like all the new colours. Again - how many I'll buy will depend. I need to see them in real life.
I am thrilled that Mint Macaron is back! I also like Mossy Meadow. This year's InColors only partially thrill me; I like Grapefruit Grove which is super hot in home dec right now, paired with pale grays and blues and Lovely Lipstick. Granny Apple Green seems to a front runner favorite with many demos.

Interesting! In the book it looks close to those. I wondered if it looked different IRL. I liked Bashful Blue. Maybe I will really like Balmy Blue.

I loved BBlue for winter cards too!

I am not impressed with the new colors. There all so pale except for a few. I don't think I will get any and it's killing me as I have always had every color plus every incolor. I always keep retired colors I like. Since I will no longer have every color I am going to talk myself into getting rid of other colors I don't like but always kept because I didn't want to break up a set. Garden Green is history, never used it.
