Happy Monday Everyone! It is that time again! Time for a technique challenge!
Today I decided to try a card with the ever popular idea of hand lettering and banners. While you don't have to do the lettering (unless you want to), I challenge you to create a card with a banner that you create yourself. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you chose.
You can search online for how to draw banners (there are a lot of tutorials), but here is a fun link that has a lot of examples (from super simple to less simple):

You guys are hitting this challenge out of the park. I see a lot of you saying it is out of your comfort zone but WOW - who would know based on the results!
If you haven't jumped in yet because you are a little leery about free hand drawing your banner. A ruler and/or a bowl(or other curved object) often help me feel a little more confident!
Thanks for playing along - you guys are an inspiration for sure!
Thank you Lyn for a fun challenge. I fought a migraine most of the day, but the aspirin finally kicked in and I was able to make this tag. I drew the banner with a pencil first before using a sharpie marker to go over the banner.
This was really a great challenge for me! I was able to make a banner without too much trouble, but writing the sentiment was more difficult for me. I tried many different ones and was not happy ewith the result. I finally just decided to stamp a sentiment (was not centered very well). It was time for me to move on.
Yahoo - I like getting to put my scissors to good use rather than add more "tools" to my already-crowded crafting drawers! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
