Default Looking for waterbrush recommendations

I am putting together gift sets for one of my sisters and one of my friends of Peerless watercolor sheets, watercolor paper, and waterbrushes, but the more I read about the brushes and the more options I look at, the more confused I get.

I would like to give them several sizes, and I want them to be good quality, but I also don't want to break the bank. The only ones on the Peerless site were the Niji (which gets great reviews), but to get all three sizes would be $30, plus shipping. What do any/all of you use and love? Thanks in advance for all assistance provided!

I've been thinking of trying Arteza's brushes: Arteza Brushes

You can find them other places but if you sign up with them you'll get a discount code.

Lydia does a lot of work with watercolors and shares many details on her blog. I did a search for watercolor brushes on her blog and it pulled up quite a few posts. She also has a "favorite things" section with lots of watercolor brushes included. I hope some of this is helpful.

Your gifts sound wonderful and they will surely enjoy them.

So, I did a little research and bought this set:
Amazon.com: Royal Brush Manufacturing Royal and Langnickel Zip N' Close 12-Piece Brush Set in Vinyl Pouch: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

There's a lot of sizes and shapes, and the price is very affordable. I found them to be of a decent quality. They're obviously not the same amazing quality like my black velvet silver brushes, but they hold up really well and - most importantly - I don't have to worry about whether a technique will ruin them or damage them.

It would definitely be my recommendation for someone who's just getting into watercolor and might get overwhelmed by all the brush sizes, choices etc.

I have the Pentel ones, and they are great. Here's a set that you can get at WalMart for a good price:
Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brushes 4/Pkg- - Walmart.com
I like the fact that there's a flat brush in the set. I might just get these for myself!

Whoops, I think I misread that as regular watercolor brushes, rather than water brushes... I own the Pentel brushes that Diane linked to, and I think they work great. I only bought the small and medium size, personally, since I figured anything larger than that I'd want a regular paintbrush for.

Thank you, everyone, for your input. After looking over the options suggested and reading more reviews, I ended up ordering a pack of 6 Arteza waterbrushes - 3 sizes each of round and flat brushes. I'll report back if I love them after I get them and test them (because, of course, I ordered some for myself, as well).

The Nijis are my favorite and they are the same as Zigs...

For next time, better prices here: Zig BrusH2O Water Pens

I started with a set of Aquarelle Brushes from Hobby Lobby years ago, & there are three in that set. You might want to check Hobby Lobby to see what they have to offer in the Artist Brush area. I've graduated to Nuvo's Aquarelle Brushes- only 2 in the set that I have. The brushes from Hobby Lobby are thinner, & they don't hold as much water as the Nuvo Brushes. If not an Aquarelle Brush's, then it is the Silver Black Velvet Water Color Brushes from Dick Blick!
