Scrappin' Challenge 2018Can you believe this is our 10th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2017 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2018! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2018! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2018 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc18apr"

Congratulations to our Jayne...who is this week’s featured stamper!!!
Well deserved Easter surprise for you!
I squeaked past my goal with 22 for March and 60 YTD.
Lela, is rocking this with 128 YTD! Wow! I’m truly impressed, especially hearing how much you travel.
I wasn't feeling it this month. I got a lousy 4/10 done :( However, I just got back from beautiful Arches National Park and I feel refreshed!!! Ready to get some pages done this month.
YTD: 32
April Goal: 16

..... (Lela, that is a wonderful total of 128 for you!!) .................
Thanks Joyce! I was home for a good part of January and in February I did the LOAD Challenge. Both of those things helped. This month I didn't scrap as much (too crazy of a schedule) but perhaps I'll have better luck in April ...?
I was just thinking yesterday looking at my calendar that I have so much fun stuff coming up this summer it makes me want to scrap even more because I have so much more coming ... LOL

Actually ... traveling usually is easier for scrapping as there are no "stuff to be done distractions" in the evenings so I get time. It's really strange?
SUPER Excited for Jayne! That's so fun she's the featured stamper ... I'll have to make sure I play along this week

So True!! I wish I could capture all the fun pics my kids put on SnapChat too! They snap away yet never have a copy of the photo unless I happen to be there too and get one ...

I fell way short of my goal for last month ... made some layouts before we went to visit kids/grandkids but didn’t get them posted. Ever since we got back I have been battling my allergies ... still not 100% but getting better.
You can tell when I don’t feel good ... I hardly looked at crafting on the internet and my house is a wreck (I’m very OCD).
Going to try for 14 pages this month.

Lela, I'm still thinking about my goal. I know I was way off the mark for March and disappointed in myself and really need to get back to scrapping.
Amy and Lela thank you for your congrats....I am still in a bit of a shock and not sure how it happened other than I made a lot of cards last week but so did everyone else. I thought it was an April Fools joke at first LOL. I am very honoured and humbled as everyone on this site creates amazing things.....plus I'm a scrapper LOL.
I shall come back tomorrow with my totals and YTD....time for dinner. Feeling exhausted today for some reason.
Have fun and nitey nite. (((hugs))) to you all...my special scrapping friends jx

I'm back...hubby watching sport for a little while so I thought I'd get my journal from my craft room and look at my totals.....also thought of my OLW. I so need to get back on track.
March....I exceeded cards due to VSN, but only made 1/10 LOs.....shocking and so beating myself up. :(
This month is tricky as its less than 5 weeks to our family wedding and I won't be able to create the last week of this month as too much on, including future DILs birthday.
Lela, put me down for 6 this month...lightweight I know but I need to be realistic unless I can get some pocket pages done and that might help. YTD: 9
Hubby is also wanting me "back" to help with things around the house that we've been putting off whilst I've been recovering from my knee op. Maybe I need to set myself a time limit when I scrap LOL.
The good news is I've helped my S2S totals....;)
I'm just about to watch a video on how to tie a double bow. I used to be able to do this and forgotten...lol...
Realised why I'm exhausted.....lack of sleep due to a mozzie buzzing around me ladt night, emotions all over the place....think it was the full moon lol, and chores I've done today and also play time with poppets...phew.
Happy day and creating

Beating yourself up is way over rated Jayne - we all can only spread ourselves so much. Make time to scrap when you can fit it in and enjoy life - which sounds like it is happening for you at the speed of light!
Jayne you can only do so much! Set realistic goals is the best way. You were recovering. Ok.. enough of that.
I may be scrapping a new page soon. My son fell in love with a new to him car. I have done my bit as a reality check. Now it is up to them to make the budget work. 98% certain he will buy it.

Another page! Yay for me - its the third of April and I have scrapped 3 pages!
Doubt this rate will keep.
This was a simple page, little time for it, just had to decide on papers and go with the sketch. Jovy Lovea Bubbles by AnniePanda - at Splitcoaststampers

It's April and I am still lost. I have made 20 pocket pages and I still don't know how much I should pay myself for them? I am in the stamp to spend thread as well.
I can't believe how much chatting already. I will try to catch up tomorrow!
We signed the lease for our duplex rental today. I took lots of photos of it so I can know where we are putting furniture. Am packing like crazy. We will move sometime before the 23rd. Movers come on the 23rd. I go to a scrapbook retreat the 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th that I signed up for months and months ago. So it is crazy here!
But I made this layout before I started packing my craft room.

I think I saw that someone put some general suggestions in a post somewhere? I thought I saw $6 per page ... I use that estimate to keep track of how I'm doing ... maybe $6-$9 would seem close ?

S2S pay myself for pocket pages
$9- create whole page as in a divider..or 2 difficult items
$7- create one difficult item
$6- simple changes like recolourizing
$4- just writing and printing items
I'll second that Joyce Ann...all of the ladies who host our scrapping pages...thank you. Happy day

Lynn, Melissa and Sharon may be able to help. I paid myself $5 for a pocket page...same as for a normal LO as I figured it still takes time. Go for it..it's your spreadsheet. Happy day
OOOps...just saw Lela had already replied...silly me...I really should read down the thread first before posting..too much in a hurry  Now I'm not sure what I pay myself after reading yours and Lela's post...must check my book...clot day again

Happy Wednesday everyone....hope you have some nice plans today. I spent the morning with a friend who is going through a bad patch and we went out for coffee and brunch. Such a lovely morning. Now home and going to spend time with hubby who couldn't play golf today as he's been in bed with a headache this morning....feeling sad for him. These headaches are really stopping him having fun and the specialist appointment can't come quick enough.
Enjoy your day ladies and I am going to think about what to do for scrapping this week.

Hi all, it's been a few years since I scrapped and been here in this forum, but I have a baby who is now 9 months and lots of photos! So I decided to get motivated and get scrapping I've been haunting the challenges for the past week or so while I sorted and printed some photos, love all the ideas and inspiration!
my current goal is 2 pages a month
Congrats Sharon...great news and a new adventure begins for you and your hubby. Hope you get your packing done quickly and the 23rd will be here before you know it. Can't wait to see a scrapbook LO of your new place...exciting time. Enjoy and happy day
It is a mess here! LOL. A lot of my craft room is packed, but still working on it!
I probably wont be crafting till middle of May. Oh, wait a minute some how i have two graduation cards to make! I guess I should try to make them before I finish packing up!
So, I got a call today that if I wanted to swap retreat week ends I could! Yay, another prayer answered! So now I can be here to unpack after we move rather than on my scrap week end. Instead I will go in June! Everything is just falling into place! Then after moving we head to Georgia for graduations.
What a fast month!
No pages this month except the one o did for Stash Buster!
Sharon take breaks when you can and write labels on everything! Not just craftroom. More like craftroom inks and so on. Hoping it will be a very uneventful move!
Happy Friday everyone...had a busy day yesterday doing wedding stuff.
Welcome Raewyn...I see you are from over East...I'm in Perth. Look forward to seeing your creations.
Sharon, great news and everything is falling into place for you...awesome.
Joyce Ann, thank you again for caseing one of my LO's...such an honour and love yours.
Have a fabulous day everyone and weekend.
