Lisa here as your hostess for this weeks WTUI challenge.
One of my all time favorite techniques it 3D Paper Piecing. It always adds great dimension to a card and really brings an image to life. Today we are filling the gallery with more 3D Paper Piecing cards. I look forward to seeing your 3D cards.
If you need help with how to do the technique HERE is a great tutorial.
This was great fun to make. I happened to have come across the PinFlair glue used in the tutorial and was delighted to discover it's much easier to use than silicone glue. Now to make more 3D cards before the rest of the tube dries up!! I was also able to try out Circle Step card: Robin was one of the brave souls who tried it for my circle challenge a few weeks back and inspired me to give it a go.
Here's my detail shot, which I'm not bothering to upload to the gallery.
Lisa I love this challenge and I popped mine up three times. Giggles. The three cupcakes are double popped up, and then the roses and leaves are popped up once more.

Perfect timing for this challenge! I went with these cute stamped images from my stamping friend Lori- adding my sentiment and background castle from my Paper Smooches' Royal Cuteness stamp set. I colored my top layer of images with colored pencils, then markers, then spritzed and lightly dabbed with a dry paper towel. Underneath are grey images, both sets separated by dimensional squares. Used a unicorn and dragon image, yellow adhesive beads, and light green baker's twine as my embellishments. Here's Rapunzel in the castle

Oh, Lisa, what perfect timing! I have been finishing up my card for the Dirty Dozen Christmas Card challenge for March and saw that my card is perfect for the 3D Paper Piecing technique today! I LOVE this technique and love the beautiful effects. Thank you! Here's my card:
I watched the video and did the shading under my one layer and did the edging so white wouldn't show. I will do more layers another time. Thank you. Great tutorial.

Fun challenge! I am playing my "Challenge Catch-Up" cardmaking, with this birthday card for a special friend and cardmaking buddy. I fussy-cut the largest bloom to add another popped layer of flowers.
