When I read the theme of the next VSN - how does your garden grow - my first thought was, "It doesn't" 😂. I have a black thumb for sure. Meanwhile, my neighbor is a Master Gardener!
I can't grow flowers and vegetables, but I can stamp them, though, and that is all I need to know how to do for VSN! Can't wait for the fun!
Ok I found the correct thread to mahalo all the wonderful sistahs that put this together and those that give of their hearts and time to make these events possible and my so needed therapy so fun and joyful!!! So a hug mahalo in advance to all!!
Prep card bases , have a variety of bkgs made and ready to go especially those that require long drying time , pre stamp/print images uncolored and colored. For me I love punch art so I have lots of already put together from other projects. Lots of them I enjoy or had fun making them so basically all these challenges help me to use them and help to be creative in ways to use them same as with a lot of images or stamps that needs loving and because a lot of the challenges are a surprise just be ready for anything. But the basic like prepping the bases and bkgs is a big help
I always have good intentions to do more prep....like maybe color an image or two but I end up not doing anything. I like the idea of having some sketches handy or some card bases.....My only must have is chocolate
I got alcohol ink markers a week ago (first-time purchase) and I colored and cut a bunch of images the past several nights, so I have lots of cute images for VSN cards now. I also got a huge Stampin' Up! order last week so I have lots of fun goodies to play with. I am a hobby demo who orders just twice a year and it happened to be right before a mini VSN! I also have the goodies I won from the last VSN, which I have been having a LOT of fun with - thank you, Scraperwannabe!!!!
Polly, you mentioned chocolate being your only must-have - my daughters and husband know that about me, too, and stuff my Christmas stocking each year with decadent delights for my "secret stash" (we all know where it is in reality).
I think Hershey Nuggets should be the Official Chocolate of Stampers Everywhere as we use them in a MILLION projects......and eat them in the process of making those projects!
I'm very interested in trying out a vsn for the first time. A couple of challenges for me: -I am OCD and need step by step instructions for how the night will play out, can anyone help me here? How many challenges, what materials do I need, etc. -I have slow internet speed, will this be a problem?
Well I for one am super excited to try this out. What time zone are the challenges posted in? I'm in Atlantic Canada time zone and if I have to stay up through the night that will just add to the challenge and excitement! Lol
The challenges are posted in Eastern Standard Time. I am so glad you are going to try them! What I love about VSN is that it really gets me to try new things and to NOT overthink what I am creating. I also love to pull out stamps I have not used in a long time for the challenges.
2 weeks to go! I don't know how I am going to contain myself. haha!
Just to clarify, the Mini VSN is on Friday February 23rd.
-What time will this event be starting?
-How many challenges in total will there be on this evening?
One week to go for the Mini!!! I have been CASEing everything lately so it will be FUN to come up with my own designs. Just like with running, oftentimes a break rejuvenates the body/mind and you come back energetic and rarin' to go!
Woo hoo thought I was going to miss yet another VSN and we will be overseas for the main but I can play in the mini.Thank you Lee and co for doing the mini.
Could someone give me the city or town that the challenges will be posted from so that I can do the time conversions to the minute.  :lol:Hugs Marg
It's been raining almost constantly for over 24 hours. Flood warning in our county, but I live in a higher area and have no basement, so I feel ok. I do worry about people who live near the river that goes through town; some areas flood every year. :-(
On the upside, I had to organize at least part of my home office/craft room before the weekend. I had grandkids visit, and we did some crafting. I have a few remnants to clear off, but I will have a FULL CLEAN 6-foot TABLE for the first time in an, ahem, very long time!

A totally clean table is a great start to a VSN! How fun to have grandkids over - my girls are 12, 15, and 17 and I already miss the days when they were small - and I have been old grandkids are even more fun! We live just a mile from my parents, so my daughters grew up with grandma and grandpap being a regular part of their lives. Just this past Monday, the younger two went over to make gobs while the oldest and I went on a college tour. My grandmother lives nearby, too, and we go over every Sunday to watch football, play Scrabble, eat dinner, etc. Grandparents are such a huge gift.
Icy and treacherous here. There was no school here or surrounding towns today. Where is everyone? Tomorrow is the big day, right? I am looking forward to Kim’s and Misti’s and Lee’s challenges! 4:00 CST? I wish it was right now! LOL

Im not quite ready for right now!!
I am ready, because, we haven't been out of the house because of the weather. Need to be challenged and am waiting to use any motivation or inspiration for the challenges tomorrow night.

Its been gray & rainy here... soooo ready for spring!!!
A scrapping friend mentioned this challenge to me. I thought it was only if you were in the US or in that part of the world but I see Margs, a fellow countrywoman is hoping to join in so I will have a peek too.
Not sure what it is all about but I need to do cards....(yes Sharon/Lela, scrap too LOL)....and I can do cards at present whilst lying down LOL. I will check out the link provided about what it's about.
In the meantime have a happy day and happy creating in the challenge.

I checked the links...wow...45 minutes..that's a big challenge to me in itself LOL, but one I need to learn.
I may have to sit this one out considering I am not entirely mobile at present and that in itself is challenging as I can't rush to get my supplies. I also have some items sitting waiting to meet other card challenges and saw you can't combine so maybe not right for me this time.
I will, however, check out the beautiful creations you all make and stop by next time and hope to play. Happy playing everyone...have fun.
